Hmm, good question. If it's an epoch in history, it's probably around the time of the Dark Ages. Most scenario sites have a little Attilla and Arthur and not much else. Of course, it is a relatively unknown period, but compared to the absolute swarms of colonial, Napoleonic, and WWII scenarios, etc., it's got tiny coverage.
I'm trying to do a King Arthur scenario at the moment (I'm lazy and have other stuff going, so don't get your hearts set). I've only played one KA scenario, and it wasn't too accurate (starts in 750 AD?). I tried to download another one that sounded VERY faithful to Geoffrey of Monmouth (Arthur vs. Hengist), but the zip was unusable. I'm going for a middle ground between faithful history and total Arthurian romance; it pits Arthur, Cornwall and Wales against the Saxons, Picts and Scots. I've worked out what I think is a fun little system to simulate the relative isolation of fortified Dark Age cities. So Arthur is challenged to not only conquer Britain but also to civilize it.

Some ideas:
Russian Japanese War, 1904-05
Crimean war, 1854-1856
English Civil war, 1639-1640
Russo-Polish war, 1919-1921
A scenario about the Teutonic Order state

@ techumseh:
Sure I'll post it, but not quite yet. I'm not in reach of my personal computer and probably won't be until Sunday.
More ideas:
- Battle of Hastings, 1066
- Rise of the Ottoman Empire
- Battle of Austerlitz
- Battle of Waterloo *
* I started that one also a while ago, but dropped it when I failed to find any good source maps to draw the map. If you are more succesful in finding a map, then I still have the order of battle and some units.

Definitely 1776: The American Revolution (I noticed this after I got into Colonization again: the only thing I've been able to find is a graphics update for the one that came on the Microprose CD, which was just so pathetically easy it almost wasn't fun...)
And I've always wondered why a scenario based on the USSR vs China (like that EXCELLENT Rising Dragon one, but during the border skirmishs in the 70s), or the Iran/Iraq conflict never seem to have been considered...

Hmm, thanks for pointing out EoG. I saw it and assumed it was some kind of fictional crusade scenario, from the title. It's downloading now, let's hope it transfers legibly (I tried Legend of Arthur II a few days ago, and the ZIP was unreadable).
As to neglected countries...I'm not familiar with a lot of what's out there, but how much attention has been paid to the Aztecs' conquest of Central America? Not the Spaniards' arrival and conquest, which I'm sure has been done a billion times, but the Aztecs' rapid spread over the Valley of Mexico prior to European arrival. The Aztecs were a seriously freaking disturbed culture (ripping children's hearts out while they were still alive, yum!), but at the very least they'll be interesting as a scenario.
Okay, it's downloaded and it seems legible. We'll give it a shot.
