Last one's winding down, so here's a new one.
New map, Xiamen. Download config and grayscale below.
Located on the southeast coast of China, Xiamen (Mansion Gate) is a major port city. Located across a narrow body of water within sight of the city is the heavily fortified Taiwanese island of Kinmen (Gold Gate). This split was the result of a civil war that ended with Communists victorious but short on naval capabilities.
During the 1950s, an invasion of Kinmen from Xiamen was fought and repelled, and subsequently there were decades-long artillery duels and occassional air battles. The vast number of shells fired at Kinmen from Xiamen led to a development of a local metalworking industry, famous for its cooking knives.
With warming international relations in the last few years, the Taiwan and China governments initiated the "Small Three Links" as a test for subsequent direct economic links. The two islands are now connected by boat, with a brisk trade in goods flowing through Xiamen and Kinmen between China and Taiwan.

I'll use a stopwatch, but basing on Kitakyushu, on an A64 3000+ it'll take about five minutes. I was sure the game had crashed midway...
Edit: Seven and a half. Probably because it's now larger than the original Kitakyushu.
