While I hate to buck a trend, it appears that this killer is either a senator or a droid, given the weapon of choice.
We have little to go on, apart from the fact that the wound was to the shoulder. This would seem to suggest that the user was inaccurate, and thus we can likely ignore the droids. And if the user was inaccurate, it is likely someone who is not proficient in their use; thus, the killer is unlikely to be Padme Amidala.
Thus, I conclude that the killer is likely either Palpatine or Organa.
The Force tells me that Ljube is to blame.

An interesting analysis, Guynemer - Ljube seems possible.

Oh my. Excuse me, but I do believe that inaccurate small arms fire would indicate that a clone or battle droid was responsible for the killing, as they are quite unable to hit something unless they're 2 feet away, it's unmoving, and not a main character.
Unfortunately with the death of Grievous, and not knowing who most of these characters are, I will vote Sparrowhawk.

I'm not sure who it could be either (I saw a 'ferret' reference in the text but it's probably a red herring), so I'll go with Illuminatus as well.

True, it may make them hard to spot on some templates, but not impossible to see if you read posts. If GM can create background, assign characters, make clues, and sense emotional changes half a galaxy away, I assume he can spare a minute or two to read the thread instead of just looking for bolded text.

Aye, laddie, 'tis a labour of love. Writing the stories, weaving the intricate pattern of clues and red herrings. Then there's the busywork, like collecting the votes. Now, if ye were a wise laddie, which work do you think I prefer to spend my time doing? Bolded votes make for a better game, since I spend less time hunting down votes, and more time writing the stories.

If my count is correct, we have two people who haven't voted:
Illuminatus: 10
Jon Miller: 3
Ljube: 2
Sparrowhawk: 2
Nikolai: 1
rah: 1
My apologies, Illuminatus... I fear I may end up dead before we catch the one responsible for the crime that you are being blamed for...

Given the recent disturbances, the fractitious council settled down for their first secret meeting after the death of Jango Fett. Like myself, rather than just one killer, they suspected a second, given the different weaponry employed by the second death, a blaster. To my dismay, rather than shame over the execution of a helpless prisoner, they argued the council must now kill another in order to end the murders in the Jedi Temple. Unlike the first, where there was general agreement, many Masters had absolutely no clue as to the identity of the killer, some even accusing myself of masterminding the death. There is not much of a motive to kill Jango Fett, other than the fact that he was one of the foremost folks qualified with blasters. Perhaps, by killing him, the killer could ensure no one could accurately catalogue the identity of the blaster among various makes and models.
As the council continued to deliberate, rather then admitting their lack of accurate information, insisted upon the execution of the most likely suspect. The divided council minority settled upon their most haughty critic, Ki Adi Mundi, who wanted nothing to do with the inquisition. Obviously, he must be in league with the killer, if he does not wish to see justice done in order to protect the council.
After the vote, I withdrew privately with Anakin, and spoke with him over the recent developments. Interestingly, he argued that his own droid, R2D2 should be assigned to protect Padme from both the killers thought at large and the Jedi Council. My unit, R4, would remain with me. I, however, assigned R4 to Anakin, against his wishes, for a Jedi Master has a responsibility to protect his padawan.
