I really hope moddability doesnt turn out to be civ4s best feature.
I voted for reduced MM (compared to civ3), otherwise i might not play it at all.

I agree completely there. The scope of moddability that we are being promised offers the potential for modders to do amazing things with the game engine, which will extend the game's active lifespan by quite a bit. Just look at EU2 for example; the vanilla game was certainly good, but undoubtedly the numerous mods for the game have extended its lifespan a bit... the EU2 forums at Paradox are still quite active even though the game has been out for almost 4 years now.
Aside from the modding, I believe the relgion idea also has some good potential, too.
