Seeing he was a Chief Judge, this means Bush will get to appoint a new guy pretty fast then? I remember there was some talk of the Liberals vs Conservatives and who should have the majority some time back. Well, how much I think Bush's people isn't always the best guys, I hope a Conservative or at least somewhat conservative wins. Good luck to the government in finding a good replacement!

we're not a litigious society and our constitution doesn't have a Bill of rights. The Australia High court is basically there to adjudicate states rights and the powers of the federal government.
