I'm on your side, Ted. I'm quite sure many people have died because of this announcement. Bush was clearly wasting time he could otherwise have spent rescuing victims and tending to the sick. What's worse, rescue operations probably ground to a halt as people stopped to listen to Bush's announcement.

I live down South. I see these people in a more personal way in my daily life than on the majority of you watching it on the TV. So spare me the sanctimonious attitude.
