The Bears are the most underrated team in the NFL. Even by Chicago media!!!
The Chicago Tribune picked Washington to beat them 26-13.
Okay... let's just ignore that Washington only beat the Bears 13-10 last year. And that was a Bears team with 5 starters out on defense... the offensive line decimated, Quinn as the QB and David Terrell at Wide Receiver at the top of the depth chart.
The Bears' leading receiver had 22 yards.
And Washington managed to defeat them only 13-10.
This year, the Bears are healthy on defense, have Mushin Muhammed at WR (a target for Orton), and an above average offensive line to protect Orton.
I'm not guaranteeing a Bears victory, but it will be a close game.
And to say the Bears are going to do anything worse than last year 5-11, well, whoever says that doesn't know jackshit about football. Last year they had tons of injury problems, a tougher schedule, less talent, and a horrible offensive coordinator... yet they went 5-11!!!! and 4 of their losses were by 6 points or less.
Now explain to me how they will do worse than last year... PLEASE... because I simply don't understand any of your guys's reasoning.

quote: Detroit is the bottem of the NFC North barrel. 2 wins |
Detroit has more talent than the Bears.
quote: Thats my breakdown. Look at their season at tell me they go only 4-12 with a straight face. Its not going to happen. You wanna make the bet or are you backing out of your statement? |
I said they could concievably go 6-10. But you'll say they'll go 8-8. Why don't we have it between 4-12 and 8-8 (ie, 6-10)? That's only fair. If 5 is the line, Detroit gets lucky in only one game, you win, but they can be 3 games worse than you said and only 1 game better than I said.
Detroit - 1 wins & 1 loss
Green Bay - 2 losses
Minnesota (if you really think this team is overrated than you really know NOTHING about football) - 2 losses [BIG losses]
at Was Bears - toss up
vs Cin - 1 loss (your knowledge of Cincy is pathetic)
at Cle - toss up
vs Bal - 1 loss
at NO - 1 loss (NO has Brooks and Deuce, who do the Bears have?)
vs SF - 1 win
vs Car - 1 loss
at TB - 1 loss
at Pit 1 loss
vs Atl 1 loss
So totalled, 4-12 with all the toss ups added in. The ways to get to 6-10 could be one lucky win at home against GB and a lucky win against another team on the schedule.
Btw, Sava, Washington is better than it was at the beginning of last year. Their running game was working ok at the end of the year and Ramsey should be more comfortable. Santana Moss seems to fit in more to the 'Skins offense than Coles, and Washington's D is better than yours. It's a toss up because who knows if Ramsey gets any better, but with a Portis running better, he should.
