I agree with KH 100%. Alcohol doesn't make you do stupid things that goes totally against your own moral code. It lowers the obstacles, sures, but you still won't go against what you don't want to do.

It's like this.. I've never been into more hostile parties than the ones we have in our department with all the coders. There are so many mofos who get hostile and violent and loud like nothing else. It's like their 'get out of jail'-card. They've been kicked in the head and prolly they think themselves as nerds too but when they get some booze in them, they start acting like total d1cks. NOT ALL of them. But some I know personally.

And yeah, they blame it on booze too. But to their defense, they drink like once a year. It's like the whole Tyler Durden thing.

Of course we make mistakes, but not mistakes of that caliber.

I've said things I wish I didn't say when drunk. But I can't say it's a constant problem. I've been clumsy when I'm drunk and known to knock off few objects from the table. I'm known to have passed in peoples flats when I wasn't supposed to. But no, I didn't put my penis where it didn't belong. That requires special talent.

You just don't get it do you? What we're trying to say is if you know you can't control yourself while drunk, maybe you shouldn't drink eh?

Even if we were naive, at least we have the backbone of following our moral code with no problems at all. And we sleep our nights in peace for that. And I know I'm been judgemental, but at least I'm not defending my position on betraying friends.

6000 years old dude, the only thing you can do is learn from that experience, because of course we all know you regret it and wish you didn't do it. The only thing is to learn, that it will never happen again. But unless you stop throwing the carte blanche around, I don't think you will truly ever stop.

And being able to correct the ways is what ultimately makes it all better and in the past.

I have quite a few female friends that are SOs of other friends of mine. Some of them are even attractive. But they are friends and that's it. I'd regard it as icky and weird to sleep with any of them.
