Yes. They are sticking us. And Sid is now officially a pudgy faced fat rich ass no longer concerned with actually making games- just chruning out shovelware and running his company, while padding his house in the burbs.

By the way, the larger concern is that this indicates they were really planning on an X-mas release and were suddenly told to bolster Take2's quarterlies. In other words, there may be a lot more that's not finished about Civ 4 than just those things, and our first patch (of the two that Take 2 will allow to be given before any X-pack) will essentially be a rush to fix fatal flaws.

I should bring back my "Delay Civ 4 until Easter" thread!

No Ozzy, I don't believe that Firaxis has any intentions of abandoning it's loyal fans. I stronly suggest that you critics wait to have the game in your hands for a bit before judging it. Any opinions based on other peoples reviews are not the most accurate assumptions, unless you always believe the movie reviewers as well :-P

I don't see a problem with this. Pitboss is only one part of MP, and the SDK will be pretty much unused for the first few months by people anyways. Gives them time to polish it.

Personally, I'd prefer to wait till I've played a few games before making any comments on if I was stiffed or not. But that's me, I'm sensible. Some aren't.

Do people really want to wait 'til january before they releasy two things hardly anyone is going to use for weeks to come?
Who's going to mod a game they haven't played yet? OK, there's always one but really...c'mon!
