Markus and I are looking for some good players to play against in a 2 on 2. We have devised a strategy that we feel is unbeatable, actually we know it's unbeatable. 2x2x King, premade map. Either with huts or without, doesn't matter to me. Who feels they can take us?

Uh oh. In rereading my earlier post, it sounds like an anti Eyes/Markus thing, which it wasn't intended to be particularly.
Just that I have this resentment over custom maps where the other player(s)
have knowledge not available to all, which is how original post read to me.
If I've mis-spoken, as I seem to do with stunning regularity, then sorry.

As for the rest of you, premade map means that EVERYONE sees the map before hand. Was there something you just couldn't comprehend? And we'll play 1x1x too. YOu apolytoners pride yourselves on playing 1x1x and to tell the truth, I think it's down right laughable. Lets face it, out of the whole sorry lot of you only 1 person has proven himself worthy of my respect. ANd maybe one other, but I haven't seen enough games from him to judge. So fine, we'll play 1x1x also, however I think it would only suit the strategy even better. Those who don't want to play 2vs2 need not reply on here, go somewhere else. And we're not using a custom map because the randomness it generates makes it so that at least 1 player is going to get screwed on position.

Annoying? lol Sun all I ever did was make fun of you. You got to the point where you started deleting my posts (an obvious overstep of moderator powers). You call Ming a *****, but I'd rather have a mature over the hill ***** moderating the forums than an immature highschool punk doing it. Get lost loser, your posts are an eyesore to this topic, I even prefer slowwhand over you. Moderators on Civfanatics obviously can't be trusted. For all of Apolyton's faults, at least I can trust the moderators won't delete my posts without good cause. Or for that matter, edit them as you like to do also. Now, back on topic. Who wants to take us on? The map can be agreed upon, so long as it's premade. In fact every setting can be agreed upon, but I refuse to play deity. So, who wants to dance with death?

as long as i get to see the map first..... i think it might be fun.... however my skill isn't that of markus or sean... perhaps i could team with one of them and another like moker or such could team with the other.... however if only you two "know" this new strat i guess it won't work then will it.....

Only Markus and I know how to do what we're doing. Other people know how to do versions of it, but not like we do it. Now, who wants to play? I see alot of posting but no one accepting the challenge.

Wow! THe intelligence levels are rising to an all time high today. Did you happen to notice there drake that I said we'd play 1x1x also? And the game is a premade map because in team games it's very easy to get screwed over by start position. HOwever you wouldn't know that since you've probably never even played a team game. So thankyou for your advice Drake, I know it was well meaning even if you do speak out of complete ignorance.

Begging? LOL Please, define "begging". Perhaps you should look the word up in a dictionary? And who said anything about crying I can't find a game? I have my pick of duels, not of team games. Markus and I always have problems find good players for team games. I simply came on here because I heard apolytoners were some of the best players there were and I wanted to try my skills against them. Obviously I was wrong. HAHAHA!!!!

I honestly would play, but having little to no experince in 2v2s, especially on 2x2x, I dont think it would be best. Not that I mind losing, its just enduring the gloating. But if you could handle playing a "newbie" ill play.

Nah im not opposed to playing 2x2x, as long as its a short game, which I would expect it will be. I think 1x1x is far best for longer games, but in short non-diplomacy games, 2x2x can be fun
