How about a PININSULAR WAR scenario? Or how about an anciet one about the early colonies and people in Spain(The time before Celts and Iberians). How about the Paraguayian war? Guess which one I would like to see most!

1)Rodrigo Díaz de Vivar, "El Cid" (AOEII: The conquerors has a campaign about him)

An there is also a movie about him (Charlton Heston at his best) El Cid already appears in my Al-Andalus, so this topic has actually been touched

quote:

2)Independence War, from 2nd May 1808 to Arapiles.

Yes. This missing is a shame. I was working on that long ago... wait, I told this story many times.

quote:

3)Almogávers in Greece (this could be my next scenario, but it's too soon to say it)

A good one. I thought on this for a long time but never found enough material to write it with a minimal historical basis. You should go for this!!!

quote:

4)The moors invading Spain (Guadalete, 711 AC)

Ain't bad either.

quote:

5)The Third Carlist War (sorry, I had to say it)

he,he... you really think this stuff is meaty enough? Yes, yo do

quote:

6)The Castilian civil war between Juana "la Beltraneja" and Isabel "la Católica"

I believe Fiera might have something to say about this

PS: Sorry jasev I edited your post instead of replying to it with a quote. I am so sorry. I do not know what I am doing wrong cos this is not the first time I mess up with postings by others. At least your original posting survived in blue

well, there is really not much info about this. I guess you are referring to the mythical kingdom of Tartessos? Some historians even doubt that Tartessos even existed (where was it?)

Yes, the Pizarro scn is the first item in my civ-related list , so expect it soon...

As some of you, I also have a Castile & Aragón scenario almost done (no events yet), basically dealing with the Mediterranean expansion of Aragon and the strengthening of Castile in Spain. It goes from 1230 to 1492, but I think it's too complex and long so I may finally split it into two different scenarios: the eastern expansion of Aragon and the definitive union of Castile & Aragon under the Catholic Kings...

What do you think about it?

Besides, El Cid and El Gran Capitán surely deserve their own scenarios... As I told Shaka once, I myself started making a Gran Capitán scenario when I even didn't have FW, long ago... It was very difficult to depict the complexity of the Italian politics (Kingdom of Naples, Pontificial States with their own independant rebel lords inside it, Republics of Florence and Siena, Dukedoms of Ferrar and Milan, etc...) so I finally gave up. I hope Shaka will make it.

El Cid might be an easier shot... I see it as an adventure scn, starting when El Cid is forced to leave Castile (el destierro, para que me entendáis)...

Got spare money?

-The great Armada could be dificult, but no imposible, perhaps someday...(very far)
-In Al-Andalus were some civil wars, one of the most importants, the Oman Ben Hafsun against Omeyans(se dice asi omeyas? , then with the finishing of the Caliphate of Cordobe everybody kwon the Taifas´ kingdoms, and of course they fought between themselves. And then a different invasion from the south: Almoravids. I think that our history of the Reconquista (the same for the crusades) has a hard Christian point of view, but muslims have their own wars similar to feudal wars. Maybe it will be my next scenario (in the future ).
-About a future civil war, someday y heard that a American guy wrote a book about it, I remenber "After the war in Balkans, Spain is the next, Catalonia and Basque country has started a revolt against Spanish rule, and an Andalusian general, called Fernandez (iám sure that with a big Mexican moustage) make a coup and named himself as Dictator..." (todo muy españolista, seguro que la guerra acaba con un baile flamenco o una corrida de toros en España(provincia del sur de Mexico). Well, the idea could be interesting, but i don´t like so much making Fictional scenarios (well my first, first, first scenario was the conquest of Mars, i think that there is some old webpage which have it I think that you don´t know it)

well, sorry for the delay
I see that you guys are looking forward to see my scenario but actually I haven´t began yet.
I was looking for blibliography and I found a few books but can you imagine that I didn´t find any with ilustrations or maps(???????????????????????????????)
and I don´t have a credit card so I can´t buy the book that fiera recomended me, I can look for the url if you want to buy in the net,
there is not a lot of information in the net so I was waiting to visit Barcelon or Valencia to find a book but you can work on the scenario, I havent done anything yet

the aragonian expansion is good but I think that it would be hard to do,

information to Fiera
do you know that Jaime I (Jaume I) try to go to the crusades?? well, you could create and event file if you want, Jaume I is one of my favourites caracteres in history, he was the one that reconquer Castellon for the Christians
if you want any information about the time period just ask me, I know a lot about the Corona de Aragon and his expansion, feel free to ask

I´ve foud good but without ilustrations... I still have the map that you send me, so thanks if you send me more files, wiht the graphics made by Kindal for his Carolus scenarios and the nice work done by you two guys (Jesus and Fiera) there is not a lot to do in that aspect.
and I have a lot of ideas for the AI, I think that there is still missing a really challenging AI for pre-WWII scenarios; I´m not saying that I´ll do it, but I´ll try to..
