I would appreciate it too, but there are other features that i would rather have (primarily Upgradeable Units)

I wrote a column some months back, wherein I suggested that there should be an awesome scenario editor in civ3, as much better than the civ2 editor as it was to civ1 editing.
I further suggested, that to show off the power of their editor, they would include a mod for civ1, civ2, and AC. something the civ2 editor is unable to do properly for civ1 See the "civ mod for civ2" thread in the hs-scenario league forum)
I hope the Editor is powerful enough to reinstate all the play imbalances in civ2 for our civ2 fans, meaning that you wouldn't need your copy of civ2 anymore.
hopefully, you could just simply drop your favorite scenarios into a subdirectory of your civ2 mod.
IF ( a BIG if) the editor is good enough, we will do what firaxis probably won't do to avoid legal complications: make a CTP and CTP2 mod and import those scenarios.
but to have the editor good enough to make a reasonable version of civ2, would indeed be a BIG step to easily importing your civ2 scenarios.
Otherwise....... I'm trying to imagine playing the moojr scenario with the resources popping up like in the civ3 previews...

Nah. Worry about the game. Let the public do the mods and scenarios.

I, for one, love the idea... but maybe that's because I wrote the column.
But seriously, are there any problems with my idea, tell me
