Most impressive feature of Civ3 Support Apolyton, buy Civilization 2

Based on the information we have not, what looks to be the most impressive feature of Civ3?

Support Apolyton or Terrorists Win

I posted very early on about a desire to see the trade system changed to be resource based, so i felt quite proud when my voice along with many other apolytoners was listened to and they changed things

Sorry Jelly, I can't decide if you are kidding or it's a mistyped word for have now.
Wait, you mentioned "graphics" into the poll list of choices: you must be kidding, right?

So far, a well developed Culture model seems to me the best bet to have a Civ III interesting enough to me to feel the need to buy it.
I have some fear because the whole Culture concept seems to me interlinked with a more detailed political system (something on the like of SMAC social engineer, better related to historical goverment model), but only news about politics was about Fundmentalism removal Isn't someone missing the point?

Coupled with this, another interesting proposal I don't see mentioned by Firaxis is the (proposed by Korn469) "Ordinances" model, where you can tune by some "law" a basic politic system.

They are main foundations for complement "Culture" with best part of "Politic" (we already have corruption in Civ II for the "dark side" of it ).

I think the trade system looks very interesting. I can't wait to start trading and selling resources. Maybe it is the inner capitalist in me speaking. Must be buried very, very deep

But borders are not new to Civ III, they have been in SMAC. The biggest difference for them is that they expand due to culture which is the newest biggest change in Civ III.

Stop insulting Firaxis! They wrote a completely new graphics engine for Civ3, and if you look at any of the screenshots, you'll see that Civ3 definitely looks a whole lot better than Civ2.

What is it to be kiddin' about, the graphics is great, maybe it's not the most impressive feature seen, but it's great graphics (Compared to other TBS games present day)

Fundmentalism removal

The way I see it, they didn't really REMOVE fundamentalism per se, but it was rather replaced with nationalism which is pretty much the same thing with three primitive economic systems: one for war, one for peace, and one "normal."

However, Firaxis claims the exclusion of fundamentalism was because fundamentalism "tended to upset game balance" so there must be other obvious differences. I have a feeling the fundies will like nationalism in Civ3.

In my mind, they're both only ways of saying fascism without using the word "fascism," which is why I liked part of the fascism patch (the graphics were another thing) and I think there will be another fascism patch for Civ3, replacing nationalism.

P.S. I always use communism anyway

Trade and Culture so far. And how economy and special resources have been connected with military warfare. And that trade- and resource-embargos can be carried out much more effectively in Civ-3 (= alternative warfare).

Diplomacy looks very promising, but its too much of a "dark hourse", since we dont no how the AI is capable of handling it. For MP-games the diplomacy bargain-table model is a Godsend - thats for sure.

I just hope that they dont make the diplomacy-AI too gullible and deceivable when it comes to exchanged goods/info & the value of mutual agreements. Also that the diplomacy-AI is is clever enough to take into account the overall world-situation somewhat, and also the probability of success. AI-civs shoudnt single-mindedly continue lost & hopeless causes, just because its mood is rock bottom.
