What sort of writing are we talking about with "Aldebaran"? Oh, and I'm working on that translation. I think i didn't delete that last version. U see, I always write a version, check it out, decide it's a total use of drive space and then delete it. Maybe I'm too critical, but anyway. After two times writing totally again two long stories.... Wait a sec... I've been writing a short story on my laptop! I'll finish it, no prob, then translate it... It is based on the same universe, and some years after the novel's happenings... Same techs, but his one's about a solar system being destroyed soon by a supernova...
Oh, and I once wrote 20 pages to start a sequel for the novel... and I have read at least 60 scifi books in the last six months... I have way too much time on my hands  One day I planned a six-part series of novels, something like the "Foundation"..., on the same Universe like in my novel(s) and short story...

I'm thinking of taking my very overworked laptop with me and maybe stopping by Firaxis while I'm in maryland. I'll let you know. I think I can find a sub from the ACOL forums if not.

Geckos, I'm going away this weekend, but am taking my laptop with me. All should be well, barring my bashing my brother on the head with it. I may be 'slow' on Friday, and Monday, but I'll play my turns each day like a good Gecko.
Secondly, I just have to share my Aldebaran excitement a bit! Whoo hoo! What a monster of a project. The second stage of the Beta is going on, and it looks really good, so I invite any Gecko to play the worlds first PBEM Aldebaran game! Let me know if you are interested in an email (Rmontalbon@aol.com and use a header letting me know you're a Gecko). I'm thinking in about a week or so. I don't need to test the Multiplayer aspects of the game, but it will be near 'Final' release then, and it might be fun. I keep putting off getting permissions to use the graphics, argh. I've been so enthralled with the mechanics..blah blah..you don't want to hear about it, trust me!
Was that 2-3 turns in 24 hours? Darn good work. We're going to have to think about our fall schedules. I'll be a student again (after many years), but should be able to play along fine. At our pace, lets see, we'll be at around 2220 on new years? That should be interesting.

Checking out Aldebaran soon! *Yawn* getting tired... One AM... *sigh* like I said, couple of hours earlier of it will in due time hamper my psyche 
I'll tell that he/she's an AI faction, so no need to get frightened, yet... Waiting for turn 2116...
