I'm going to convey more of my ignorance:

What's with Apolytons' facination with the word spam? Back when we were downloading things from BBS at speeds of 60 bytes / second, SPAM was still in a can. Then it became known as any unwanted solicitation. I was fine with that, after all, canned-meat is often undesireable, especially when air-borne. But now, even mister red-sperm head ('Hi guys!"<-- ) is SPAM? That's going too far.

Seriously though, I've been posting around the Off-topic and there is almost as much talk about spamming as there is about the subjects of poorly-phrased arguments of multiple conflicting premises! I don't see any spam, airborne, canned, or solicitous. I'd much rather talk about various 12 year old male facinations, such sex and sex.

Any Gecko shine some light on Lady Smack here?

Oh dear me, Lady S., thee hast misunderstood me. I meant not your post ( ) as spam, rather those message of mine which consisted of merely one word. Methinks you have misunderstood the meaning of "spam".
Thank Almighty I won't have to read Shakespearian English at school It does show, however...

And reading your post has convinced me that there are two options:
1. SPAM is also known as some icky food product which has some interesting aerodynamic properties
2. Smack has lost "it" big time.

O.K. maybe this is just too embarrassing to discuss on the forum, but what the heck: SPAM seemed to me to be 'an uninvited guest' when restricted to email. So how is that at all similar to short lines in a forum that convey necessary information? Je ne sais qua. Can't we computer mooks come up with something better? Flame is a good example of a fitting word for impassioned retorts in the forums. I'm flaming SPAM.
