Regarding, bugs... again. Our main rule is very simple regarding bugs in CTP Internet or PBEM Ratings...
If you use a bug or "crack", you will be ejected from the CTP Ratings group.
That is it! Simple. Nothing personal, that is just the way it is. Then we don't have to worry about what bugs are okay and which ones are not okay.

Sure, I can play BerXpert on Saturday... but let's wait to see who actually shows up at 7:00 a.m. Los Angeles time on Saturday, before committing to anything. Those who are there will play. Okay?

Well excellent Saddam - after we play a straight down the middle game we'll play a continent game and then an Island game - What a lot of CTPers found is that the challenge of an Island game (and it is a difficult challenge) is pretty incredible - As Regards an Island game having 10 square Islands, well no that is not true - If u Max ocean, then move Islands up one or two towards continent on a Huge map (sea travel very quick) u can have large land masses that you have to find and settle, and all troops have to be moved by sea....... a really really intimidating way to do business!!!!!

Quinns is about to rate you as beaten the AI at King level .... you will be the only player not to have beaten the AI at Deity... is this really the case? Confirm with Quinns or your ranking will start wrong......

Quinns should we start sperate threads for these debates.... I see them as pretty relevent to all players personally.

I have a question for u all...When I reinstalled CTP a few weeks ago i got a very weird error just as Saddam mensions...my science was something like 47%,57%,67% which is offcourse lower dan normal. I thought this strange so when I reinstalled again (with the same patches(1.2 and 1.21)) it was gone again. Was this just an error of CTP or did i do something wrong?

I have had the same thing Darth, I am using the official patches and hacks too. I have spotted other things too such as starting location glitches. After looking at this for some time now I have concluded even after a good reload it is best to reload the game every 30 games or so. Saturday I am good for gamming too so what? 10:00 am edt for me... see you all there.

Thanks for the imput Saddam on the science crack do you have a copy or know someone with a copy? If so send it to us so we can see how it works and if it can be spotted in the game saves. I noticed you missed that...

So far my internet searches have had no success I have asked several game hack, crack specialists in various forums to find it for me I will let you all know the results as they come in.

You have to love this game...

BTW Gavruska has finally beaten me in a game... good job Gav time well spent and I am now an underdog Time for the student to teach his master...

So we have confirmed Saddam, Quinns, Blackice, Darth Viper, berXpert and Gavrushka - looks like fun!!!

Ice time to come clean....... In the game where I beat you....I found Commie in a ruin... this was the major difference I think - and after 50 or so losses u would expect luck would be on my side for at least one of them

Our game crashed and our saved file was corrupt . 6 hours wasted .....

Though I'm not actually part of these games (I'd be in trouble if I tried to start, since I've never finished a game on single player on any difficulty - it being so much more fun to fiddle with the rules files) but I have a couple of things which you might like to know.

In const.txt there are two numbers wgich you might be interested in: RUINS_CHANCE_PER_BOX, if set to 0 will remove ruins and make the game much fairer and MIN_CONTINENT_START_SIZE, which is normally 10 (hence those 10-square islands) could be increased to stave off concerns of tiddly little islands for start locations. I'm not exactly sure what it does, but I'm guessing it has to do with the choice of start locations.

Presumably these changes would have to be made only on the computer which was generating the map initially.

I only started playing online in April, and there are many people who will take you through how to play to have a good shot at winning... You should come along and try a game...... a very enjoyable social occassion...

Saddam, good job we screwed game file, you are doing a lot better in this game than the other one... It was difficult being isolated on a far island with me and Darth warring - After this game we play an Island game yeh ...

I'll have some time on my hands soon to play a few ctp web games. Maybe you could add me to your rated list of players Quinns? I've beaten the ai on deity so many times I tried to reprogram the stupid thing to make it harder. So you could start me off on the max difficulty level in regards to the ratings. Although I've not played ctp much for ages apart from the odd pbem turn every blue moon, so I might be a little rusty. Anyways, if anyone's interested in a gorey, no-holds-barred, free for all sometime, I'll be around I guess.

Haha Erica you are dreaming, all NZ women are not beautiful god dammit, but what is the definition of beautiful? A place where all women are beautiful that will be the day. I do beleive that place exists. Beauty is in the eyes of the beholder, So if you are very very very drunk then all women are beautiful, isnt that right lol. Yes A LOT of New Zealanders go too Aussie too live, we apparently love sheep alot so it is perfectly logical for us too go too aussie there are millions more there. So logically if you got ride of all the sheep then all the NZers would vanish, but we all know aussies love sheep too much for that

I have too disagree that all NZ's that go there are on the dole. There is alot on the dole there yes, but the unemployment rate of NZers in Aus is lower than that of australians in Aus, so whats the problem. Plus NZ currently pays 130 million a year for people on the dole there, i dont know quite how that works but that seems like a **** load of money. Now NZers going too Aus dont get the dole anymore dammit lol, because our government wouldnt pay any more money for the benefits over there. Hmmm we should get compensated for all our educated people that go over there too work and it is a lot (-:.
(Australians arnt that smart on a whole lol) Too much beer. They are very good at sport though :-P.
