I wonder how you are going to replicate moving eyebrows of on a t-shirt.

Anyway, I voted for the last one, but think it should be like "You know you've played too much CIVILIZATION II (or III, if Sid manages to get it out in time) when you've got t-shirt like this". Civilization II in big fancy letters, of course.

I voted for the last one 2, but I think it just should say:

"You know you've played too much CIVILIZATION when you've got a T-shirt like this"

Because we're not talking about one specific civilization game, but all past, present and future civ games

But I was also close to choose the text with:

-Our words are backed with NUCLEAR WEAPONS!
-Consequences, schmonsequences!
-Get Civilized

"Get Civilized" really should be 'Get Civilized @ Apolyton Civ Site, which was my original idea, but I'm leaning towards

'Get Civilized @ Apolyton.com' or net or whatever.

I feel that this would direct people here to see what the fuss is all about, advertising a great game and this site at the same time.

The 'Get Civilized' was an adaption Snapcase came up w/ from my post, so it really isn't what the originator intended, it's shorter but doesn't communicate anything.

goddammit!!! They are all very good!!!

I'd go for

1. Get civilized (we can have the Apolyton.net on top so it doesn't make the t-shirt cumbersome aesthetically!)

2.You have unleashed a horde of barbarians

3.Sire, your fame now exceeds even that of Dan Quayle

4.Consequences, schmonsequences!

5.I civ therefore I am

There are several good ones. I love
"Consequences, schmonsequences!", "Sire, your fame now exceeds even that of Dan Quayle", "You know you've played too much Civ..." equally.

Though I'd also love "Gladiators beat Lions 9:0" or "Mayor fiddles as City burns."

Get Civilized. But not with the exclamation mark. Just the period. The exclamamtion mark sounds too eager, and the "@" addendum sounds way too nerdy. "Get Civilized" sounds cool.

"Just one more post".

It's the least poor choice of the ones given. I seem to recall there were some better suggestions in the thread, but anyway - suffice to say, I'll certainly buy a T-shirt if it reads Just one more post and features the Apolyton logo.

It's from some great philosopher I don't recall by name, it's a word play from "I think, therefore I am". In Latin, it's what Jeje2 said, cogito ego. (It's ego, not ergo, mind you Jeje).

Lose 30 kilos (of popups)

It is "Ergo" (meaning "therefore" not "Ego" (meaning "the self". Cogito - I think, Ergo - Therefore, Sum - I am.

The man who said it was french philosopher René Descartes and it has quickly becmoe one of philosophy's most famous quotes. To understand it, you have to realise the context within which it was said. Descartes was a sceptic, one of the most virulently so in modern times, and doubted everything he saw and percieved. He even doubted his own existence, but came to the conclusion that, since he was thinking about whether he existed or not, he must exist at least when he was thinking (for who else would be doing the thinking if not him)?
