Interestingly, one of our (two) scouts detected a strange portal. Entering the large black door, they found themselves briefly on on of the moons of Jupiter! Lacking supplies, they reentered the portal, arriving back on Planet, some miles from where they left. The portal vanished. At this point, both scouts are near each other, in the area we wish to explore and settle. Strange, but, in the long run, exactly what we were hoping for.

made a trip to the family chreche this morning because one of my children had a nightmare. Excerpt from conversation:
"Daddy, can mindworms really eat your brains?"
"No honey, their just imaginary creatures we use to scare bad children with. There really aren't any mindworms."
"Then who are those men with the black uniforms that come to the house that have the mindworm patch on their shoulders?"
"Well honey, its sort of the same as Daddy's favorite football team."
"You mean the Dolphins?"
"That's right. There are no real dolphins on Planet, as we didn't bring any from Earth, so dolphins are sort of imaginary as well, right?"
"Yes."
"Right. But a lot of people still wear clothing that have dolphins on them, too. Right?"
"Yes"
"So its pretty much the same thing, see?"
"O.K. Daddy".
"O.K. honey. Good night"
"Good night daddy"

Note to self: move the mindworm capture meetings to another location, before the kids start realizing how dangerous a place Planet really is....

Sorry about the missend: just to let you know, between 7 -8:30am est is when I'm getting the kids ready for school. So as not to repeat the mistake, if I receive a turn in this time period, I'll wait until afterwards to play/send (the rest of the day, though, I'm pretty much hanging out). I just picked up MASSIVE overtime at work.
I'll be there every night, 11PM-7AM EST.
Moves that I arrive before 10PM EST I can play before going to work. Moves that arrive even a few minutes after add about 10 hours.

Just killed a mindworm that tried to sneak up on my base, as well. I have had little success capturing any mindworms.
