A long time ago.... about 10 years ago some friends of mine and I were having fun during the Carnival feasts in my place, dancing, jumping, boozing and making noise with drums on the streets singing this:

(No need to mention we were drunk as hell)

Some friends of us after this event started calling us "The Wakus".

At that time I was in the university and I started using "wakuwaku" and "wakiwaki" as my passwords in the university computers because they were quite easy to remember and easy/quick to type (check your keyboard).

On the other hand it reminds me somehow a weak form of my name (Waku=Manu)

My friends and me created a Almeria´s autonomist group that named "komando Indalo" we have made a pair of graffitis but to make them we have to wait to later hours at night and we always started to drink to spend time so we are drunk when it is the hour to make them
We are a non active command when we have money we pay somebody to make the graffity in our name

About Carlo di Biasi... it's a joke from the era of the Addicted to Civilization Forums (pre-apolyton history). There I was CDB (initials of Corpo di Bacco, another long story -- look into the Hall of Fame of Apolyton's Civ2 section). For some reason I became quite popular in that forum (ask Ming, GP, Spink and others... )When Addicted died out and Apolyton was born, I changed my handle to that one I won't mention here.... it was taken from Horacio Altuna's comicbook Ficcionario.

Immediately after the creation of the Sleague, a scenario contest was organized. A few days before the deadline I decided to participate under a pseudonym. Since the CDB handle was too obvious (Hoek was the judge and a good ol' pal of CDB as well) I disguised it a bit: Carlo di Biasi, (Italian, just like Corpo di Bacco). No one figured it out until I myself dropped the mask...

Dark Cloud or someone else should start compiling the old posters' memories

My name derives from an old Germanic tradition and is at least 17 years old.
"Stefan" dates back from ancient Greek "Stephanos", and was later of importance in Christianity.
What exactly the origin of the name "Härtel" is is not so well-known. Several interpretations are known to me, but none have my content.
Both together form the first and last of my own names. I excluded my second name, which is Wolfgang, which is the third and common name of my father, his first and second coming from his grandfather and father.

a few years ago I used to play Warhammer (and strategy board game) with elves, my general was called Naldur, just because it sounds elvic
and Naldur was my nickname for a while,
I start playing diplomacy (another strategy game) as Ethiopa, and instead of being king of ethiopy I called myself Shaka of ethiopy, I know that it is wrong but it gave and african flavour to the title
I also have read a book about the zulues and as a good civ player I knew who Shaka Zulu was

so Shaka Naldur....

My nick stand from yaroslav, a hero of the ancient Ucrany. He was named 'The wise men' (Mudry in rusian if I recall it correctly). I read a book of Rusia's History (I love history too much), and I like it. I use it quite often with friends from my University in chat... I retain the nick for no logic reason. I like the sound.

There is also a city called Yaroslav (often Jaroslav) in Rusia...

Well, I'd seen the movie and read a book of his and I loved the tale and the heroism of the man that goes against everything that is powerful and against great odds continues forward. Determination and courage is what I see in what was this man, and also a romanticism around the martyr who faced the biggest empire alone from within.

The union jack is there because although I'd prefer the first arab free state flag on it might upset other people in the forum.

Prometeus cames from Prometeo, a long-time closed pub when I used to go to drink some beers with my friends. Prometheus in english... but since there was another Prometheus on Apolyton my nickname became Prometeus...

It's curious to see how many nicknames here are born in front of a glass of alcohol...
