Great leaders are not only military leaders. In ancient ages, yes. But now? For example Ghandi. "GL" can be religious leaders, or those who increase power of a civilization during peace time.

BTW, who would you consider more "worthy" to posses the status of a Great Leader, if Poland would find its way to the Civ3 expansion: Sikorski, or Berling?

I know what you mean. I think they both were patriots, but the first one tried to find help in Western Europe countries, the second in Russians. I don't know them so well to decide which one is "better". Now we know what happened after the WW2. They couldn't know. Anyway I won't call them "Great Leaders", because they didn't manage to change the history.

My mistake. I thought ruler and written GL.
Ruler: Queen Jadwiga
GLs: Sobieski, Czarnecki, Zawisza Czarny, Anders, Pu³aski, Sikorski, Koœciuszko, Pi³sudzki, Bem, Chodkiewicz, Rydz-Smigly and many many more (especially Polish kings who can be both rulers and GLs)
Special unit: Rudy 102 (Janek + Gustlik + Grigorij + Olgierd + Szarik)
