about 20 or 30 people downloading 35 MB from my server at the same time was too much

I took a bath for an hour, when I returned..... my complete internet connection was down.....

at least for my server, my other computer (on wich I'm typing right now) is stil working though.
I'm rebooting my server again now.

You can try to download it again while I'm going to watch Feyenoord Sparta Praag (yeah....soccer)

I'll be away for 3 hours, after that I'll rename the file and send the URL to Markos and Dan so they can download it and put it on a descent server that actually can handle that much downloads

HELP ME someone. When I click on the link Windows Media Player opens but nothing happens. It just says conecting... BTW I'm over a DSL line so it's not my connection speed.

I announced yesterday that I would have Civ3 available on Morpheus last night after 7 p.m. Eastern US time (GMT -5), but no-one downloaded it. I left Morpheus open until about 12-1 a.m. If anyone responds, I'll make it available again tonight (I watch baseball, and then TV so my computer is not really in use after that time).

I have a 128K ISDN connection that peaks at around 90-100K.

Do you mean Usenet? It's been up at alt.binaries.games.civ2 for the last few days. That's where I downloaded it. And because I have an independent newsserver, I got all of the parts.

Since my connection was down again when I returned home I've putted the video on another location.

I've mailed Markos / Daniel the URL so they can download it.
Further did I give someone called "Chris" the URL as well since he claimed to have a big bandwidth.

Since it's night right now in The Netherlands (23:40 local time) I'll soon go to bed. If people mail me ( robert@plompweb.net ) before 00:00 (23:00 GMT) I'll reply to the first 5 people and give them the URL as well. If these people won't download it all at the same time things might be fine.

The next 5 people will get the URL tomorrow when I wake up.
that way we can spread the download to more people, and than we can all upload it to kazaa so things will be fine.

Thus, be quick and mail me
