You speak of WWI. I don't recall the U.S. claiming in reparations after that war. Could be wrong, but don't think we did!
However, after WWII, which we were instrumental in winning, we DID pump billions of dollars into Europe for rebuilding and to prevent the advance of the Soviets. So nyah.
But, given you are from Deutschland, I sincerely doubt you want to get into an argument over behavior during the World Wars, hmmm?

It's a common misconception that Germans don't like to talk about the World Wars. If your nation got all fanatical and unsuccessfully tried to take over the world, don't you think you'd joke about it just a little?
But I don't have time to get into an argument over the World Wars (translation: I don't know enough about them to win such an argument ) |
Oh I know...I'm an ardent Deutschophile, and find German culture to be one of the greatest in the world. However, I also have no problem confronting honestly the role Germany played in the World Wars. I would not be so critical of them in the first world war--France and England share a great deal of the blame for that situation, as do Austria, Russia, Serbia, etc. It was a pan-European bit of carnage, and no one nation was more responsible than any other. But history is written by the victors, so Germany is usually saddled with the blame.
Oh, and U.S. President Wilson was ardently against the imposition of harsh retribution against Germany after the war, felt it was unjust and would only lead to further troubles down the road. But France and England didn't listen...

Probably the French, as that is my heritage, and their attributes also compliment my playing style.
