I chose Persians because their abilities sound the best. Of course, without knowing the details of each ability statistically, no-one knows which ones are the best for sure. My second choice would probably be the French, also because of their abilities.

And yes, this is the most updated list.

Part of the appeal for me is exploring the map. The world map spoils this aspect.

I'm going to rename the Greeks and create the mighty Chrisonian Republic. Then I'll put their starting position near Byzantium (where else could Christantinople go?). So I suppose I should vote "Greeks".

The Persians.

I am a perfectionist, you see (IOW, I like to create perfect patterns of cities with maximum terrain improvements around them) and besides I like to be scientifically ahead of other civs, so Sci/Ind fits really good to me. And if some other idiots dare to disturb my perfectionism, the Immortal's extra attack will come handy
