I already sent e-mails to Firaxis and to Infogrames France. Firaxis never answered, Infogrames sent back a silly mail asking me to check the schedule for the release of new games for November...as one can guess no Civ is present for the near future. This morning, I posted on the general forum of Infogrames UK a shout for a fast release.

Good work, shinoui!
If you have those messages saved, cold you please
send them to me so that I could add them to the Library?
I haven't received any replies at at all. Not even confirmation
messages.
The message you received from IG France is actually
amusing. Refering to the release schedule, even if the
they no that it wouldn't answer your question/question.
Have a look at the new BTC website. You can find some
hints there.
Have you pre-ordered/ordered a copy of BTE/LE?
If yes, from what webshop?

I planned to buy it in Finland where I shall travel next May....but it's a long time to wait for...

Is that true?
If yes, the standard Civ III will be released here 16.11,
but one local retailer (Triosoft) has already mentioned
it in an PC magazine ad. The price was 290 FIM (48,77 €).

Hmm, I have received a notice from Amazon that my LE has been shipped on November 1st, and should arrive between November 8th-15th; I'm in Finland too, so perhaps also you will be receiving it, Rasbelin?
|
I have also chosen the expedited shipment,
and my original arrival dates were the same as yours.
But the dates are now 12.-19.11, and they have been
changed every day. So it doesn't look promising.

I ordered and pre-paid the LE a month ago, way before the ban, so perhaps that is the reason?

I have pre-ordered on 14th October and they have
received my SWIFT cheque on 72.97$. But they
haven't done anything for it. So it's likely that the
ban is a reality, and not pure imagination.

This e-mail has just been sent to Amazon.com's
customer service. It will soon be added to the BTC Library.
Hi!
I have pre-ordered my Civ III Lmited Edition on 14th October, and the game was released for sale on 31st October. The order should have already been shipped. Not to mention that you have already received my payment (your CS sent earlier this week an e-mail confirming that my SWIFT cheque had been received). But are you still holding on with my shipment? I have paid for expedited shipment a higher charge, so that I would receive my order faster. Does this mean that just because of that I have placed my order before Amazon.com changed the information on the Civ III Limited Edition's item page to "Currently, item can be shipped only within the US". So am I supposed to wait until one beautyful day you "might" deliever my order? According to one person's report (he has also pre-ordered the Civ III Limited Edition from your webshop), he has received a 10$ voucher from you as a compensation for having to wait for his order. Because I have also pre-ordered and paid my game, I also demand a voucher from Amazon.com as a compensation for all my sufferings; in time and money. Further more I also suggest that Amazon.com would give every customer that has pre-ordered a copy of Civ III Limited Edition from you, before you set the current limitation on shipments of the item in question, to customers outside the US, should be given a voucher as compensation for your foolish treatment of customers. I remind you that this could be a visible hit on your public image to foreign customers.
Giving away some vouchers is a small loss compared to a loss of tens or hundreds of customers. But it's your choice...

Rasmus Anderssén, a fed up customer who wants fair treatment from Amazon.com
