Es igual que un multiplayer, tu cargas la partida, pasas un kilo de ips. etc y juegas sin esperar que nadie se conecte. Cuando llegue el End of Turn pulsas cntrl+N (very important), guardas la partida y la posteas.

Venga me apunto... pero me gustaria empezar en un escenario donde todos tengan las mismas posibilidades, ejemplo, tu nacimiento de España, JB.
Hay alguna norma para que todos envien diariamente su turno? es q si no pienso q será muy leeento esta modalidad de juego y eso en mi opinión, como las guerras reales, cuando pasan unos años ya no las quiere nadie.

A succession of players take turns leading the same civ in a game. This can be a regular game or a scenario. For example, I'd start a game and play 20 turns. The next player downloads my save game and plays the next 20 turns. Followed by the 3rd player, etc etc etc.

It is fun because your game goals must be flexible. You must accomplish what you want quickly, and leave a good situation for your successor. You inherit a game that has had ~60 turns played by others - you need to "correct" the previous leaders' foolish errors, or win the war they began, etc. It's a good lesson in other player's strategies, too.

I've played real world maps, random maps, and scenarios this way. All were fun games.

I forgot the best part of all, the logs! After your turn, you write up a log recording all that went on under your reign. Good storytelling makes for an interesting history. Tell what you did, how much gold you made, what techs you learned, and color it with descriptions. Many people write entertaining tales!

Also: What about a PBEM in a normal game (nor a scene)? In a little map it can be interesting... What do you think?
