Number one - I started a total of 2 threads one of which was what I thought was a bug report but could just be a bad install.didnt Know and still dont since only 1 guy replied and said it happened to him once.

number two- I repeated 1 thread cause it was shoved into that completely unhelpful help forum where noone with any Knowlege
of the game goes anymore.

Number three-why would I want to go to a civ2 forum to learn about civ3???

number 4-I refuse to sort through 10 pages of posts to find an answer to a Q in some obscure post that doest even refer to my problem in the title.

number 5-Ive been reading these forums for 2 weeks and Know that my Qs have not been adressed in that time.

number 6-like I said Ive been reading this forum for 2 weeks and I know you have no right to call anyone a whiner GP.

as I said Ive been reading these forums for two weeks and never saw the answer to my Q.
Hell its the whole reason I joined APOLY.for this one answer.If I would have found it I wouldnt have joined.
It is a simple Y or N question -at least now it is (read the freakin post please).Still it was a settler that ended up helping me

What I said was that no one is going to want to help you if you're not willing to look for your answer. Or, more accuratly, if you take a bad attitude about having to look for your answer. I didn't say anything about Emperors (heck, i'm no where close to being one, but even if I were...), didn't say anything about newbies vs older posters... i just replied to that line you have above. that's all. with that in mind, I don't see how any of what you said above applies, so I won't respond to it.

Eric...it's all cool. There have been questions from people here whoses answers were in the Civ2 strat forum or in some cases partial insights were in there. This was with respect to combat. It is also just plain instructive to see how deep people delved into the "behind the scenes" workings of civ2. It gives your some idea of what can be done when looking at civ3 issues.
