I don't say that I'm one of the first ones. I just suggested a "VIP lobby" for members that have veteran ranking (prince-deity). Perhaps I forgot to use the word "ranking", but I think that shouldn't be a problem to anyone. If yes, then I appologise for any misunderstandings.

Thought I would let you know DarkCloud that there is no such word as "educatedly" and that "superflous" is actually spelled superfluous. Just trying to help, I don't want you looking any more pathetic than you do right now!

It seems obvious that you are not a veteran, and you are making as if you are- you are also pretending you are more useful to Apolyton's community since you do not post- that is faulty reasoning.

However, if you could prove you really were a veteran, I would be more inclined to believe you.

I have no wish to have you as an enemy.
I hope you will enjoy the forums- but your 'hate' of people who post here is irreconcilable

All I'm saying is that not everyone keeps documented records on the history of the forums here. Have you noticed that your "veteran" contemporaries have not answered your questions either? It's because absolutely no one knows, or cares!

I'm sure I'm not the only one who goes through phases with Civ, sometimes I don't read the forums for months on end, and sometimes I'm on here a few times a day. So I can't answer your question on the Area25 thing, or whatever, but I can tell you that I used to check out The First Greek Site back when it used to really suck. I also used to follow The Ultimate site, and Civ Fanatics when that Thunderfall dude first started it. The Ultimate forum used to rock, but that was before your time.

Someone said "Lurkers are shirkers." Lurkers are generally people with less time on their hands. I check these forums for tips or strategies, or whatever. Heck, sometimes someone will actually say something in OT that is worth reading. Unfortunately now that I am registered, I can't just "click exit" when I see people like you guys bashing "newbies" because they are legitimately interested in the game.

No one has said it better than sachmo71 about the way you "vets" confuse a game forum for actual social interaction! The last time I farted around this area, I got so bored of the game that I dropped it for a while. There was some dude called "Wife Hates Civ" or something constantly spamming, some guy named "Scouse Grits" or whatever, trying to make an actual "Great Library" and it just gets pathetic.

You people are either crying about something, but whatever it is is never constructive! I said earlier; most of you dudes didn't even buy the bloody game! Perhaps you should go back to the Civ II forums and tell everyone how you were the one who invented "ICS" or you were the one that created the whole "OCS."

The only "vet" in the last 3 weeks that has posted anything remotely interesting is "Venger," all of the other posts that are neat or cool have been those from "newbies."

I understand that people get pissed when a new poster asks a question that was just answered a day before, and I agree, it is really annoying - however, the best thing to do is ignore them, or give them a quick answer. None of this "Newbie hell" crap that that fool "Mr. Horse" or odd DarkCloud spew.

I know that you guys probably have this thread on email alert because you love this flame stuff, but take some advice from sachmo71, and try to do something else instead of collating your "Feb 99 Thread Records" or refilling your "Intensive Care" lotion bottle.
