Faggot, fags, pie, orgy, queer, hotdog, nuts, gay. Great.
By 2095 every word in the English language will be good for a more twisted sexual meaning. For example, thirty years ago, a statement like:
"Hey, want to go to a gay orgy with some fags?"
would be a perfectly acceptable, friendly and straight party invitation. (translated: Hey, want to go to a happy party with some cigarettes?) Now you wouldn't dream of saying something like that in the same situation. "Nuts to you!" is also gone for reasons best left unmentioned. The newer generations will never look at a hotdog - yes, a hotdog - as primarily a source of food. Eventually it'll just be something to giggle about, and it's all thanks to us - really.
Society truely has gone to immaturity hell.

Actually, it's a valid point if you'd just get by your usual pigheaded liberal, non-american and potentially communist attempts to sway me from a budding and very important issue in my country that plagues youths and elderly alike.
It's possible this is the work of a spy or a group of them. Really, check the trend. When did homophobia begin to take this form? When did slang of this nature begin? Trace that back to the immigration statistics from communist countries (esp. castro's palace) in the years between 1979-1985 and you've got yourself a winner.
How many movie execs aren't citizens of any country but Cuba or China? How many flicks or TV shows use this sort of destructive language to society? I can think of several that defame ordinary objects in a sexual way off the top of my head: The West Wing, The Green Mile, Primary Colors, or even the record setting Harry Potter. Check the websites using the find command or visually eye some logos. My theory holds either way.
quote: You mean kids say that now (regardless of sexual connotations)? |
In theory, if they did, it wouldn't be welcomed. Really, if some kid came into your house and said that, you'd probably get upset too. Think for a second: why is that? how did that feeling come about?
free thinking is the essential key to everything, after all.

In 1970, if you said you'd like to go to a gay orgy with some fags, you'd get the same reaction as you'd get today. Even in 1950 (except for the "gay" part).
Gay = homosexual came from Hollywood, and was how homosexual movie people referred to themsevles. First public use of the term was in Bringing Up Baby, one of my all time favorite movies (Cary Grant . and Katherine Hepburn )
"Why are you wearing those clothes!?!" Susan's aunt asks of Cary Grant (who is wearing Susan's robe because his clothes are covered in mud from wrestling with a leopardBabyin a pond and she's had them sent into town to be cleaned so that he won't leave.)
He replies, "Because I've suddenly gone gay!"
Supposedly faggot is an insult referring to Nazi persecution of Gays, but since the etymology goes back to the 20s, it's obviously not true.
If you told someone you liked big weiners, you'd get an odd reaction 30 years ago, and people won't even say that today. (Can't imagine people will ever referr to hot dogs as anything but, though.)
Anyways, words change meanings in a living language. 200 years ago if you said a person was nice, you were saying they were sneaky. So lighten up, turkey.
