Yes, I will buy it. I like lot of its features and I am very curious to see what Firaxis has done

But since I can't find it in Greece yet and I am kind anxious I might try to find a pirate copy so if I do and I don't like it I won't buy it

Let me just tell you: It's awesome! Sure, you can't do scenarios with the editor, but they will most likely fix that in next patch. No multiplayer, but an SP game in huge map will take days, so imagine what MP will be like

Yeah i agree to rules 1 - 3 ( Does the 24 hour rule mean u have to play ur turn every 24 hours? ). I have a question ... What if the people in the game have diffrent mods cos i dont have any mods installed ( i have PBeM mod lite one )but some people here have mods like Apolyton pack and Awsomes AI ???
Also i know some people have said regular map size but can we please have Large as this will give us more time to Expand and Work on our civ befor entering Wars.

Yes. I always thought these settings were mandatory and not open for suggestion.

What are the "1-3 options under the other settings?" If they're not optional then that sounds good to me. There must be a site I've missed. hmmm

I have to disagree about the large map. If there were a size between small and regular, that would be the one I would want. Since there's not, I would like regular as that seems like enough room to explore/settle and keeps us from being too isolated.

Tip 1: The game is not all about war. Its more about diplomacy and deal making

Tip 2: Always make your friends and alliances early.

Tip 3: Never go to war with a nation 3X your size

The AI is good....but it cheats. While you can field about 200 units in a medium sized empire. The AI can generally do twice that with ease...

1. The mod.
Yeh, looks like a good jump starter to me.

2. The rules.
Send a copy of every turn to some moderate fellow named Blackice seems to be the only rule here, unless I'm missing something...

3. 1turn/24hours.
Within 24 hours of receiving the turn, I assume. Should be no problem.

Map size as most of the settings are picked up according to the majory's will

Small or regular maps are better for deathmatches or few players (3-4). Maps above that size are reccomended for more players who wish more expansion and growth without having to fight for it necessarily.

Sounds like too many bugs were left in...
Unfortunately here in Greece good games like the Civ series retain their initial price for more than a year so with a couple of patches expected in less than 6 months even in a few months there is no reason not to pick it up from the first day it comes to Greece

2. Accually that is what is all about. Send turns to the moderator. If the moderator is good you will understand his value later. The others are just some info and some recommendations. At list until I updates it with version 2.0 which will have some additional rules.

3. Each player have 24 hours, starting from the minute the previous player send the turn, to play his turn.

This was done on purpose, not a bug.

Very annoying, but will be fixed with patch (soon, I hope!).

ZOC does exist but only with some UUs and coastal fortress. I think the combat routine is off base, values are just fine. They did leave out firepower/armor, so you still get spearman kills tank once in a while.

I have found that it is almost non-existant in Democracy with a Forbidden Palace on Regular size map or larger. And this will be dealt with in a patch (soon, I hope!!!).

I think that by far the worst problem in the SP version of civ3 is trading your tech/maps to everybody for tons of cash/techs. Overall, it is a very addictive game.

LOL, you're like a little kid in a candy store with a bunch of change. I've also been playing Stronghold which is a pretty cool RTS game. You can be really evil and pour boiling oil down the castle walls on invaders just like in the medieval age!

Today, I used a lawyer to sue another lawyer and he blew up. I was so surprised that I think it was the coolest thing I've seen happen so far in this game. Still haven't seen the horrors of pollution.

I have no idea what to expect in this game and hope to make some allies early. Otherwise, a toast and a cheer to the race at hand "Hurrah! To my fellow opponents!"
