Can someone please tell me how to play a multiplayer game of
civ - ctp

There are two way to play multiplayer.

1. Select multiplayer from the start screens in the game and find an open game under on the internet.

2. Post your interest in the Youngblood Recruitment Center, the designated starting place for those new to PBEM (Play By E-Mail).

If you're looking for a game that is close to normal speed, the internet option is your best choice. PBEM games can take a LONG time to complete and move pretty slow. Hope this helps.

How long does the typical multiplayer game last? Do you typically use a smaller map to expedite the game?

I'm fairly new to PBEM but I do know that there are games in progress that have been going for years. Map size and "bloodlust" setting would definately play a role in this and are decided as a particular game is being formed.
