As Keygen stated previously, once we get some more players we will start a game. Do you have the patch installed? And did you get Keygen's pbem mod lite?

Go to Keygen's website, get the mod lite and install it. Then play some games with it until you get the feel for it. I think we need at least 1 or 2 more people.

I am your basic PBEM newbie..never multi-played before..

I have all the basic newbie questions.

1) How often are you expected to complete a turn?

2) Does in-game communication work in PBEM? Are the e-mails themselves used to role-play? Or are you expected to frequent a this board and post every turn to a thread named after your game?

3) Exactly what MODs are required? If I reinstall with just PBEM mods, will it screw up if I add the Apolyton Pack and Awesome's AI?

And the basic newbie requests:

Hook me up with a game, drop me a line to tell me the lay of the land, mail me sacriligious rants about the sexual preferences of the wild couscous, whatever. I know no-one in this community and I'd like a friend.
Oh, and if when I'm eventually in a game should I happen to, say, suck real bad, I hope someone will give me some pointers. Or even raping my women, slaughtering my sons, and THEN giving me some pointers wouldn't be so bad.

1) Within 24 hours

2) We use both email and thread posting for communication and diplomacy. For urgent messages it is better to send an email. For turn sent notification and diplomacy thread posting is used. For private messages email is the best solution Regarding in-game communications is kind useless in PBEM. I've never used it but I guess it is functional but not sure.

3) No mod is required unless the game starter uses a mod that is needed to be installed by all participants like MedMod or AP. Patch 1.2 is required though to be able to play PBEM. PBEM Mod Lite is not required also. It is needed by the game starter only and it accelerates the beginning of a PBEM game which is very useful. Hack 1.21 is aslo OK but not required.
