Russia will not compensate France. If France attacks the freight or does not release it as soon as possible, Russia will view it as a declaration of war, and will only respond with force for defensive purposes.

The French government agrees to the proposal offered by the British, of a trade conference at Magdeburg to work out our differences.

In the meantime, however, we remind Russia that should she not agree to compensating us we shall destroy her blockaded caravan and enact a total trade embargo against her.

(Is it alright if I don't play my turn until this issue is resolved, or at least attempted to be resolved? Sorry abut the wait, I've been waffling because I'm not sure what to do with that caravan )

Italian Foreign Ministry Statement Support Apolyton buy from Amazon

Italy offers solution

In an effort to defuse the France-Russia trade crisis, Italy makes to following sugetion:

1. The Russian trade mission is loaded aboard the Italian ship SS Channel Trader which is stationed in the English Channel. Italy is willing to lend the ship for two turns while this operation is carried out and the trade convoy is moved.

2. The French trade mission is released by the Russians and returns to France ASAP. Failing this, the trade mission could be presented to the new German government as a nation warming present

Although France agrees in principle with the ideas behind the Italian proposal, we are unhappy that it makes no mention of the continual stream of slanderous and unfounded allegations against our contry emenating from Russia. Must our country continue to endure these malicious attacks without comment? We refuse to commit to any agreement before our grievances have at least been acknowledged and some attempt has been made to address them.

France must withdraw its forces or it's convoy with still be impounded.

The Italian proposal calls for the evacuation of the Russian trade caravan by sea, without the removal of the French troops stationed around it. Perhaps this is indeed the best resolution, preventing Russia from trading with France until our rail-bypasses have been constructed, seeing as how whenever Russia tries to trade with us now the international community is treated to a juvenile rant on the state of the French transport-system.

Actually, Russia would also not mind if France moved away from the Russian convoy to allow it to leave France as it was doing before it was stopped

Once they can move out of France, Russia will release the French convoy.

Russia will release the French trade convoy if France agrees to let our trade convoy leave France

Can this be agreed upon and then Russia will immediately carry out its side of the bargain?

However, if Russia releases the French convoy and the Russian convoy is not released as well, a declaration of war will be issued.

If Russia releases the French Freight, will the French reciprocate? The released Russian Frieght will leave French territory after it is released.

If this is not agreed upon, conflict seems to be the only answer...

Russia releases French Freight!

Today, the Russian Military has released the French convoy being held in Bulgaria. They are free to go where ever they please whether it be deeper into Russia or elsewhere.

Since this sign of good will has been given, Russia urges France to simply allow the Russian Convoy to leave French Territory via the Low Countries and go into British Germany

If this demand is not met by November 1906 (ie the French turn) the Russian Duma will declare war and hostilities will commence

Italian Treasury Filled to Capacity!

November 1906 will long be a month celebrated by Italian economists. In this remarkable month, the Italian government has raised (and spent) nearly 2000 tons of gold! This money has come from the sale of warships to Turkey and from better then expected returns from the trade missions to Newcastle and Istanbul.

The Italian government has sought to deny press reports that President Case has taken to wearing pants made out of 1000 lire notes.

4th Fleet Reports Russian Naval Violations

The ships of the 5th destroyer squadron have reported that numberous Russian ships have crossed into Turkish waters near of Istanbul. It is to be hoped that Russia follows the precedent set by Italy, and financially compensates the Turks for this massive incursion into their territorial waters [this is why I've got a destroyer in the Black Sea ]

Well, Germany will get them eventually, but I have Salzburg and Linz.

Also you might not want to build it as once one more bypass is in place, you will be able to go through Hungary and Austria and arrive in Moscow in the same month.

In response to Italian Statement

Russia has scrambled its Black and Baltic High Seas Fleets as a precautionary manuvoeure and as practice for our seamen. Russia asks Turkey for permission to go through into the Mediterrenean.

In light of the recent developments, Russia has to reexamine her safety and security. A special comission was established by the Duma, under Georgi Bututin with German and Rumanian foreign envoys Wolfgang von Trips and Rica Vărzaru. In their report, they concluded that the lack of security on the Baltic and Black Seas is possibly allowing many threats to slip through the cracks. Presented with this information, Prime minister Anzakov with the approval of the Duma is the following proclamation:

1. The Black and Baltic Seas are immediately closed to all unauthorized traffic, excepting the Turks in the Black Sea and the British in the Baltic. All ships currently in these restricted areas may come forward for full amnesty. Any ships found in these areas after amnesty expires will be told to leave. If they are not ordered to leave under Russian supervision, they will be scuttled, forcebly if need be.

2. Russia would like to know if there are any other Italian ships in the Black Sea. This point of proclamation will be resolved later. But Russia would like to place a destroyer squadron in place to block the Bosporus and prevent any non-Russian or non-Turkish ships from entering (as the Turkish ships can go through Istanbul).

Russia would like all countries to comply with this proclamation. Thank you.
