I am on here to post a few words regarding the events of yesterday evening, and why I am not satisfied with the result, and thus, why I will not be returning to Apolyton after this incident. For a long time has Giancarlo being a menace to the gay people of this forum, despite the fact on ICQ he has confessed his homosexuality, and then continued his tirade of abuse towards the homosexual members of this community, and when taken to task about it and his confession, he has constantly lied and covered up. So I am more than prepared to deal with him in a similar unpleasant basis.
So to my complete surprise last night I find I have been given a 2 week vacation and 10% PCR, to which I immediately object most strongly, but to no avail or reasoning. I consider this to be extremely unreasonable, even an insult. In the light of these events, I feel that the only decent thing for me to do will be withdraw from this site permanently under protest. I am not prepared to be treated like a schoolchild for dealing out treatment to those who deserve it for their, quite frankly, hateful remarks.

I hardly post here anyway, but I tried to post yesterday to find I was banned. Absolutely no contact was made with me to tell me why for like 2 weeks or however long it was I was banned for. It's plainly ridiculous, and I hope we can stay in touch.

You and others (more bans than just 2 were earned in that thread) were certainly acting like school children. My 12 year son is MUCH better behaved and not cruel to thoses currently in the social outcast niche. Your ridiculous protest of your more than deserved penalty (based on more than one post, and more than one offense, threadjacking and spam among them) is even more tiresome than your glee in puerile torment, and those twith some perspicacity know that the real sting for you is the PCR, which reduced your ego from deity to emperor. Its well overdue that cruel children and regressed ought to be adults get some of the rod around here. I am tired of them stinking up the place, and am pleased that you will be having a sabbatical or exile so that your social behavior can catch up to your age and education. as opposed to to an evil, older, larger, self rightious (I do not mind that part, not being hypocritical  , but it is a fault in the view of others here), self deluded, better educated, more egotistical monster,
both of which received restrictions and PCRs. PH, you have vigorously protested every critisism handed out to you (thousands of posts of "I'll have a cherryade" isn't spam!, I am not a spammer!). You not only again display egositical denial within this thread that the rules apply to you, but also post it in two forums and use a DL to avoid a ban, because you cannot wait two weeks to whine, two balck letter violations. Yet you remain convinced that you can do no wrong. Well think again until your highly trained intellect gets it right.

Oh, and regarding my 'bitter resistance' to other punishments handed down: I have only ever being the recipient of one other punishment over the Area 25 incident. And if you check back, you will find that it is me who accepted it as fair punishment and was telling others to accept it, not the other way round. Get your facts straight before you start flinging mud at me!

I don't see any change in Giancarlo's conduct for all your bannings. The same applies as what I have said above. He has repeatedly being unpleasant away from Apolyton too. So if he starts on one of his little episodes again, well excuse me if I give him a taste of his own medicine. I don't like him one little bit, he shouldn't be here spreading his poison. But it seems you are tolerant of a nasty homophobe but would rather get rid of me for longer. Well that's just fine. |

"prior penalties" phrase above investigated and edited, old man's fading memory confused "I am not a spammer" and "Its okay to bash people because of their religion" episodes with "I am not guilty":
"a taste of his own mediciene" I can understand, I aplied the same technique to PH when he was on a christian bashing binge. I, however, do not believe it in this case, I believe it was more about wanton cruelty. In any case irrelevant to threadjacking, spam, acting in violation of repeated earlier warning and bannings handed on prior episodes (to several others, and maybe PH?) on the Giancarlo issue.

Now I realise I am pretty much a newbie (this time around anyway) who only hangs out in the OT forum, and that therefore my opinion doesn't count for much but still...
I think the penalties are too harsh. I realise that this is a privately-owned forum, and that we can't really complain about what is basically a free service. Still, a couple of days in the tank would've done fine for both of them. Some of the remarks went slightly over the top, but these kind of confrontations is what make the OT forum fun. I realise that some of the remarks made might have been PG-13 or even 15 rated, and that they were not suitable for this forum.
I also don't think that Giancarlo should be banned for homophobic remarks. Ad hominem attacks maybe, general statements of his personal beliefs and ideologies, no; it is not exactly like he's trying to convince people of his beliefs. Guess I just belief in free speech, no matter what.
Just my two eurocents.
