He was an active member of other gaming sites... ACOL is where I first ran across him. (while I'm sure some may disagree) he was a well respected member of Apolyton for a long time... usually posting very factual and "in-depth" response in many of the very serious threads.

For an April Fools gag... I faked I was going to resign... and we needed a "believable" replacement. MtG agree to go along with the gag. At the time, he was very believable as a future mod.
I do remember a "few" people (did he ever come back ) had a problem with his possible moderatorship... but overall, it was considered a great choice by most at the time.
(as usual, opinions change )

Little did he know that the gag was really going to be on him too. During the period before April first... I started working on him... by the time the "gag" was over, like me, he got sucked into the job.

Actually, I hate the friggin job when it involves catering to the too fragile egos of a few overgrown and spoiled kids who are emotionally about 10-15 years behind their chronological age. Most of the posters here don't need moderation, and others are mature enough that when they do get busted in the chops for something, they know why, and they have no problem with it. There are the "special" few, however, that require a little extra "motivation."

The job I would love is if some of you little puppies were drafted into the Army and made it into my basic training platoon. 13 weeks of pure heaven for me, pure hell for you until you got your whiny entitled attitudes squared away and grew up.
