I used to be a demon with the AK (which you fire in 2-4 shot bursts paiktis ). But yesterday I could get into my rhythm with it, I've been using the P-90 a lot though.

I think we ought to just call it quits for today... the 3 of us who showed up haven't been able to get into a single game all at once. Not to mention that when just 2 of us manage to get into the same game... well, it doesn't last long before something goes wrong.

Yeah I got lagged out of that german server. (after trying for 30 minutes to get a WON authorization! Never had this happened to me before in CS! My luck I guess )

Oh well, 3 of us is not bad for starters.

(besides, listening to all this german I in the map was very funny )

We'll get it better next time. But maybe it's better if we go to a Games World server though. (anti-cheat protection - more stable).

BTW Osweld was the top scorer on that German server when I lagged out

I frequent a Chicago CS Server at 207.88.53.8 Friendly Fire is on, and it uses the latest CS Guard to detect and kick/ban cheaters. There are admins on almost all the time. My nick will either be -=SoulAssassin=- or contemplatingsuicide.

You need a retail key since all keys are checked agains a live server (the reason for waiting before it lets you on the server).

In UK Half-Life costs £10... i guess it must be similar everywhere

Well in Team Fortress Classic (TFC) you don't wait to respawn and you don't get killed so easily-like one shot... on the upside... on the downside it is no so realistic hence the kills and other similar stuff.. no buying new weapons... more? 8 classes

I like TFC more!



basically two teams killing each other for flags/keys and you respawn straight away

TFC is Team Fortress Classic, one of the official mods for Half-Life, created by valve.

It's pretty lame, and usually consists of a bunch of people jumping on grenades and shooting rockets at the ground so they can fly across the map or get onto places you are not ment to be, with the force of the explosion.


It's OK if you are looking for a team death-match kind of game, I guess.




The other official mods are Counter-Strike, which was an independent mod that hit it big, and Firearms which also started off as an independent mod, but was later made official, but it's still in beta. There are alot of other mods aswell, the next most popular would be Day of Defeat, and then Frontline Force... past that, it's mostly just a bunch of low grade or silly mods such as "Pirates, Vikings, and Knights" which can still be quite fun.

The colors presented me with a moral dillema. Play reds which of course suits mea little bit or play blues which is one of the national colors? I play blues
I was part of various clans.

I can say without prejudice that I kick major ass in TFC. I can challenge anybody

I like TFC more because:

_it is far more stable than CS (you don;t get thrown out manytimes like in CS)

_the ping is not so important as in CS

_there isn't any trouble with cheats in TFC

_it's mayhem compared to CS
