Yeah.
I once read an article in Indymedia that Israel was behind 9/11.
Very believeable

2. I didn't claim that indymedia, this article and myself are not biased against the US secret services. |
Ok, then. Honesty is good
quote: 3. "Violent demonstrastions", specially with the definition that US law enforcement tend to give to the term (blocking traffic, resisting arrest, breaking blockades, etc), is not a crime in my book. |
But not so in the books of most people.
In any case, you're fully aware that "violent demonstrations" usually means not the peacefull resistance (blocking traffic, resisiting arrest) but the violent and barbaric rioting, such as seen in europe during anti-globalization protests.
quote: 4. "Harboring of illegal aliens" isn't a crime either, for those who believe in the freedom of the movement of people. |
This is not true. A freedom of movement is existant within a state alone.
A state is responsible for the people living in it, and esp. it's citizens. A state can not hold responsability for every person on earth that might find an interest to immigrate into it.
Simply put, if 1,000,000,000 chinese suddenly immigrate into USA, USA will be economically and socially screwed.
Infact, your point of view is not only unrealistic but is also an outcast in the world, as all countries have regulations over immigration and most countries have great support for this regulation.
quote: 5. The LA Times CANNOT be cosidered unbiased. It is corporate media. |
So there's no reason why it can't be impartial about this. It's not an economical issue.
If it would be a state controlled paper, I'd understand. But it's not.
quote: 6. Israel indymedia is one of the few places in israeli media where one can read about the other side of the Palestine argument. |
False.
Israeli TV and newspapers regularly print all sides of the arguement, though, admittedly due to natural majority, more info on the Israeli side.
I regularly take interest in the palestinian side and feel great sorrow for the palestinian people who suffer because of their govt. who supports extremists.
However, just because I sorry the people, I don't intend to ignore the threat posed by the leaders and extremists and support Israel's struggle against them, even though Israeli retaliations often cause innocent deaths.
Honestly, I prefer some other innocent person to die than me. And if terrorists are not pursued and threatened, they will kill me more easily.
quote: I admire them for their guts to speak for justice and the oppressed, against their "national interests" and without fear of the threats by the state and paramilitaries. |

Typical anarchist bullshit.
When was the last time Israel "opressed" people speaking out their guts?
When was ever a non-violent peace demonstrator arrested? When was ever a leftist journalist arrested? Never.
Israeli military and police do what they can to save Israeli citizens from barbaric terrorists. They don't have the will, time or need to touch thugs with paranoid illusions.
quote: 7. I feel that DinoDoc is too eager to discredit me, indymedia and this article. I don't require you to agree with me, but I won't stand having the sincerity of my posts challenged like this. Hell, when a country is filled with reactionaries like DD, it's no wonder the govt is allowed to do such things! |
Since when a govt. should be disallowed to defend it's citizens?
Your opinions are extreme and though I agree with some points, your main ideology and point of view that the state is the enemy of the people is wrong IMO. I believe that without a state, there could be no achievements nor could there be organization to take care of the citizens.
Furthermore I believe in the nationalistic states and think your universalism is unrealistic and can't exist. Not while we are considered the only political intelligent society.
If aliens are met, we'll change in a few centuries.

Bob - quote: I cannot understand how anyone could be stupid enough to believe in anarchism. Probably just a bunch of *******s who want an excuse to destoy stuff. Or dumbasses who want attention because they never see daylight. |
There are different forms of anarchism. One is leftist in that they don't accept private property as constituting a valid basis for rights, another accepts private property as the only valid basis for rights.
