And honestly, ALL of you - if this kid did string the dog up on purpose - what's to happen to him?
Even if he after felt genuine remorse and anguish for doing it on purpose - if all those tears and emotions you saw on the news were for real (but a hanging too late) - what would you do with him?
I'm not bullsh*tting, what's your response?

C'mon. You know that's what happened. |
My sarcasm meter is broken, but I nonetheless view your comments with possible agreement. You all know what it was like to be in grade 4 - can you honestly tell me you would be unable to untie a leash from a piece of playground equipment?
With 2 minutes to try? That's about as long as it takes to choke such a large mammal to death. I'm interested to see how this pans out - God only knows.

If the dog was particularily big and its entire weight was on the rope then the boy might have been unable to lift the animal enough to free it. The animal may have been struggling and thrashing about and/or he just panicked.
