Ain't our boys. Only the Navy and Marines use the '18's (note the "AF" on the tail)

So, it could be Australian, I suppose.

I was referring to the guy.

We sent the Canadian troops to Afghanistan with green camo, as we don't have brown.

Hey...apparently the new tan camos will be the most advanced in existence. According to the troops, the greens are doing a pretty good job anyway.

Maybe you don't get the same news we do.

Canadian troops used latex paint to paint their uniforms brown.

Their radios are two way radios purchased from Future Shop.

Their ammo pouches are home-made...

So was I. navy/Marines don't have Brown uniforms/PTshirts. (Marines changed theirs to Olive drab long time ago)

Ummm...the paint jobs I heard about were done on the Coyotes, the perimeter security at Kandahar is being done by superior Canuck equipment, etc.

There was an item in the paper the other day, showing a picture of a Canadian soldier with arrows pointing to the new components.

They painted their uniforms tan brown (there are pictures and interviews with the commanders about this on TV and everything, man...).
Their radios were bought in bulk from Future Shop, etc.

Art Eggleton(sp?) blew this off as "Canadian soldiers have always added personal effects to their uniforms"

I doubt the Canadian units' combat effectiveness has been adversely affected by what seem to be minor issues, despite the feeding frenzy of maternally-minded scandal-mongering journalists.

Help yourself to an AD-FREE life

So what're you defending here?

The Canadian troops only have green uniforms. They don't have tan uniforms, those are on order...

You don't find that a tad...unacceptable?

How about how they have to borrow food rations from the Americans because their frickin' stoves aren't there yet?

Hmmm...a few years ago, I was corresponding with a girl in Toronto. I live in New Jersey. Everything I sent her--letters, packages--never got there in less than a month, unless sent "Air Maill"; then it would be a week. Nothing she sent to me ever made it here.

Before she moved to Canada, she lived in Jamaica. Nothing sent either way took more than a week.

I don't think we ever gave the Canadians the nuclear tipped anti-aircraft missles. It's a well know fact that much of their defense force suffers from addiction to maple syrup. It would have been morally wrong to put nukes in the hands of addicts.

Seriously though, did the US not have interceptors in Alaska and whatnot as well?

The idea was to down planes in the NWT/Arctic.
