kaak = excited. I may have a house in galveston by the time all this takes place. That could be a place to stop, or stay while visiting Houston.

When is this taking place? The Guadalupe stays pretty chilly for a while, but hopefully this year by the time it does warm up the water won't be too low. Also, there is tons of fun stuff to do in Austin AND the surrounding area. Not as fun as it used to be, but that's progress for ya!

IIRC July would be the appointed time. By then the Guadalupe should be ok, but only if we get enough rain. |
There aren't too many beating as bad as the one the Guadalupe can give your arse if it's too low. I cringe just thinking about it!

Kaak - great list.
And actually I might be in Germany until the end of July, study abroad program....so Matt's original August date might be better for me now, lol. I dunno though.

Is houston's galleria better than dallas'???
i'm open for any time in the summer...but the later we wait, the more $$$ i'll have to do this stuff.
like i told tia, even if higgs can't make it down, we should plan another poly/ffz/everything meet.

Yeah definitely, and we should do another meet regardless.
Oh, and if we go to the Galleria, we're DEFINITELY going ice skating.

If you are looking for a drive thru wildlife park, you need to stop in Glen Rose (a little bit SW of Dallas)...it's an all day event, but well worth the time. Also, you can go see dinosaur tracks and camp out in Fossil Rim State Park!

Actually Glen Rose is pretty neat - also Turner Falls in Oklahoma. We oughta try and make one of those too.
Oh, and something else in Austin - Barton Springs Pool, definitely, and if there's enough water in it, Barton Creek.
