Hey Jesumi, nice to see you joining ratings

In a three way match here with Keygen and Darth Viper...real good to have Darth back... I have Darth on one side, and Keygen on the other, and they are worried about me!!!!

We've played two sessions, and I went modern a few turns back, and now have troop build ups on all my borders... A bit of unsuccessful spying went on, now there is a very tense stand off between us all... we will hopefully continue this afternoon, but fitting into Keygens schedule for Tournament...

{Finishing Order, Gavrushka, Keygen}
{Description: Small Map, we were both committed to early warfare, and Slavery and Counter Slavery were the biggest elements in the game, our nine stacks jockied for position, until Imanaged to trap some units, and Obliterate them, I managed to outproduce Keygen and gained a numeric superiority, also having units that were interchangeable between attack and defence helped me.... A good slugging match which could have tipped either way}

Last night Keygen and I tried to have our tourny game, but we couldn't start one. Kept getting "network connection error". Our ping was bad (600's - 800's), would this be the reason?

Has anyone got a suggestion or 3?

Probably the servers Ricketyclik, itr happens... try a different server and u should be okay, also try letting the other person host - or try joining someone elses game to see whether problem is you or the Server.... Good luck tomorrow

Sad Land: Swissy vs Blackice

We had crappy land as Swissy put it he had 2x rivers squares I had 7x river squares. The rest was some what equal I had an early lead in tech Swissy on pg.

My tech kept going Swissy's stalled but he still had pg. We met early in the game near some mountains. I had fortified the troops there and we had a front. I renforced the lines quickly he did not keep pace. The game was close until AG, Swissy could not continue as he felt his land was no match.

As much as he thought the rivers were an edge I had no workers no them. I had fisheries and mines going so rivers are passe at that point. I just started producing pikemen had built 4 mills at 1150 bc 6 more in 5 turns.

I think I would have taken this game in the end as Swissy did not have the three techs to get to mills yet (philosophy, Classical, Trade).

Good game Swissy take as many restarts as you need to get the best land no biggy with me.

Blackice undestimates the value of his rivers. Watching the power graph, his rivers allowed him to pump out setlers at a rate 2-1 . His main production land was only ten sqaures away from his start base. He had all the cities he need before I even found equivilent land.

Actually what you saw on the pg was a mass buy of markets for all cities...until then you had a huge lead remember? While rivers can not be underestimated fisheries and mines rule...

As you can see by the attachment you had pg all the way, plus city size. The big difference is markets, you built granaries I never do I buy markets. I had but three more cities than you But if you look at what was bought, built there is the difference.

Mircomanagement is also key here I figure I would have factories by about turn 60 built...You had troops I had mills big difference here is the game cheack it out in cheat mode. The other big difference is I built cities close to each other. When I hit size two in this game I switched to production and built a settler. I have muskets in 4 turns I think roads on the way. :0)

None the less Swissy is right terrain makes a huge difference. Do not accept crap terrain in league games. Both players should take the time to find the best start zone. Pain in the but* sometimes but well worth the effort as you both will have a superb game

Blackice is just a plain great player.... it takes me on average an extra 10 turns to defeat him than most other players...

I apoligize for stalling the tourney I finished my taxes today at aroud 2ish. And I was gonna come on and try and find nimrod. But I changed my mind. Instead, I say on my inflatable budwieser chair. And sat on my fat ass all day playing Gamecube, and some NME at the gates on DVD, and then TV. Only getting up for bathroom, food, ciggarrettes. And now that my girlfriend has kicked me outta there. I guess im on. But its 11:30. So too late for game..

Dont put the blame all on your self Faded. Ive been busy with finals this week, switching to a new job for the last two weeks, and between the woman and child, leaves little time for much else. We need to colaberate on a time to play. When will you be next avaible?

Blackice, Keygen and I really seem to be unable to play each other online. We've tried a couple of times, each in several servers with both of us creating the game, and where I've been able to join other games.

I think we'll probably have to play different players? I dunno, any suggestions?
