	Proposing a new (diplo) 1x1x USA Thurs nights Tired of ads?

Our Sat night game is in it's final stages (possibly) and I want to get a new solid regular game underway. Preferably a diplo but these have evolved into games where pure civ war is possible and does happen so you can't leave cities undefended at all.

In that game we have 7 players who ALL turn up EVERY week for several months (with the odd exception where we needed a sub).
This is the dedication and committment I really appreciate, so thanks:

I am really looking at Friday or Saturday nights, and I hope to see some interest in my scenario picking up as a Diplo-game.

If not, I'll be getting the hell kicked out of me with Rah one night a weekend, and trying to Diplo one night a week.

Thanks for counting me in deity. I am available at 9pm or later on Thurs nite (est). Is this game gonna follow the format of Ozzy's game - (special units, predetermiined starts, etc. etc) - or are the details still up in the air.

We got a random straight forward diplo on Sat nights now so I'm totally open to suggestions here. We can do a modpak or use an existing one. There are two good Europe paks and two good world paks plus my 'real' Earth like map and units.

Not as stupid as one might think. I think I gave my multiplayer CD to Bud years ago, I use the Fantastic Worlds expansion disk and everything works just fine. Just as long as you have MP installed any Civ2 CD will work.

I relly want to play theses settings but in another game they failed...

But I think they are good settings if we get the right random map...... let's say we start and play a few turns to make sure everyone is happy.. then no whinging allowed.. or aloud! LOL

I'll take whatever I get and Markus and Berz should too as Top Tier players

Customise World: Normal 50x80 Map, normal landmass, varied terrain, wet, cool, 4 billion yrs, Deity level, 7 civs, Roving Bands, Std Rules
1x1x
ONE Wonder per civ
NO Alliances
NO Tech trading
ONLY capture one undefended city per turn pre-1000BC (per civ)
ONLY capture 3 cities per turn per civ thereafter
Ceding units OK, BUT NO double moves
No City bribe
Unit bribe OK
All tricks acceptable in Rah Rules are OK - like IRB is OK, etc
All the cheats not accepted in Rah rules NOT OK - NO caraporting, etc
You can't ask another civ to go to war on someone else to avoid revolution

PLEASE POST your confirmations for starting next Thurs night USA DAYLIGHT time New York at 7pm< I suggest - that is 9am Friday in Aussieland.

	HOTW3 Announcement Get a bigger avatar today!

It looks like History Of The World 3 is in need of a sub for the Zulu. Kuja has decided to bow out due to connection difficulties (although if it hasn't truly been decided please correct me ASAP so I don't replace you without your consent!). BTW, Kuja's position is the biggest and bestest in the world. He is much larger and powerful than anyone else in the game. So to keep things balanced Markus' need not apply. Kuja is also my ally in the game, so i get a bit of a say I suppose.

General rules: Very important you stay in character. Role-playing is the key element in diplogames and I put a stress on it. Please try to make interesting and captivating posts about game progress and such. Also relate to your fellow gamers as if you were really head of a nation.

It is on a world map, there are Germans, Russians, Arabs (me), Chinese, Indians, and Zulu (Kuja). The Americas and Australia are for colonization. No conquest limits or much else, just play your role. Everything is discussed in detail in the HOTW3 thread. The story thread is linked to in my profile.

Umm, anything else I'm leaving out? I'm hoping for a good replacement, Kuja did a fine job so far, someone needs to fill his shoes.

Well there are a lot of good players out there, I haven't played many of them so I chose not to pick the one who kicks the most ass, I decided to pick the best player in my particular genre, Diplogaming.

As far as ass kicking goes, yea, you are among the best.

I think I'd sign up......but I think my days of 6 and 7 player escapades is over. They get drawn out too much. Its too hard to get everyone to show week after week.

If a game with 4 people ever started again I think I'd be in. That amount of players makes the world diverse enough and yet still small enough so that turns go by fairly quickly.

Sorry deity - I was out of commission for a few.

I can confirm for thursdays but cant start until 9pm est, I work until 8pm. I hope that works.

Can we disucss some of the rules:

I definitely don't like unit gifting/cedeing

Why only one wonder per civ?

I prefer no barbs (it seems like an unecessary luck element, but I can live with it.)

I think it has something to do with the fact that last time deity got a 7 player diplogame going i managed to build 7 wonders and 24 cities before 1ad... For some reason no one wanted to continue
