Science:
THe greatest scientific age in the history of Babylon. I increased science 10%, doubling our research rate at the cost of only 16 gold per turn. I bought the following techs in the following order from Persia for a total of 2791 gold: physics, magnetism, theory of gravity, steam power, democracy, free artistry, navigation, industialization, and medicine. We also got nationalism free for getting to the industial age! That's 10 advances in 20 turns!!!
Domestic:
Cities continue to build improvements, workers beginning to make railroads. Babylon is now building wall street. We had two revolutions: to republic 1590-5 (why didn't we do this earlier??) and to democracy 1640-5.
Trade:
We traded wines for coal with the iroqs. We have 2 untapped coal sources in our territory. We renewed our gem-iron trade for 100 gold.
Military:
Almost every city now has a rifleman unit, as soon as a city builds a barracks please upgrade its most advanced unit!
Foreign:
Granted many foreign demands. We must continue to do so and AVOID WAR AT ALL COSTS!!
Please continue 20% science and buying from persia asap. We have passed Zulus on every histogram and are closing in on them in science!! I'm at school now, the savegame will be posted this afternoon

Basic Information
Foreign Affairs:
We have a MPP with Persia
The Persians destroyed the Aztecs. There are only 4 Civs left (Germans, Iroquois, Persians, and us).
The Persians declared war on the Iroquois. We are sure that Babylon is next. We lost our supplies of saltpeter and rubber.
Supplies of saltpeter and rubber are reestablished at the conclusion of an agreement with the Persians.
Science:
Developed Electronics on are own.
We were unable to acquire any advances from anyone else.
Military:
Disbanded all the Longbowman.
Upgraded all the foot units to Infantry.
Upgraded all horse units to Cavalry.
Vastly increased the number of Worker units from 7 to 25.
Built 3 ironclads and 1 destroyer, with the intention of building 4 more to patrol the coastline and explore unknown regions.
Built a small number of Infantry and Artillery, preferring to wait until the discovery or acquisition of Motorized Transportation (or whatever) to build tanks, instead of building more Cavalry.
Domestic:
Samaria founded.
Railroad connecting all cities except Buffalo and Canterbury completed.
All cities that do not have all of their tiles completely developed have 1 worker assigned to tile development.
All excess workers are assigned to completely develop all of the tiles in a selected city unless there is pollution to be cleared. Presently all excess workers are assigned to Ur and Canterbury; Babylon, Buffalo and Uruk have been completely developed.
Story:
Dhul Khidr had just been elected President, for life. He didn't feel elated at all. After a meeting with his advisors later on, he felt even worse. Babylonia lacked in the vital resources saltpeter and rubber. Her military was hopelessly antique. Her navy, ha! One measley galleon in an age when the technology, not the resources, allowed battleships to be fielded. Dhul Khidr felt the weight of the world on his shoulders. He wanted to mass an army and march against the hated Persians to recapture a dignity long since cowed.
Instead he would be another caretaker, in a long line of caretakers. Always careful to placate the Persians and others. Maybe, perhaps someday...

Umm, I'm very efficient. I mean I really tidied up those jungles around Babylon and Ur. Actually, I don't know. On my computer my download is 224 KB and the previous one is 228 KB.
