Hi all!
Geez, I finally get back and that very night Civfan is down.
Anyway, I'm glad to see you guys sorted out this mess. Congrats!
Not much to catch up on at Apolyton I suppose.
quote: And one more thing: IF we start playing again before everybody is back, and someone uses the opportunity given by the lack of ottoman leadership to attack Turkey, they'll have to face Italy!! |
Thanks!
quote: I´m actually playing another Pre-WW1 PBEM in civfanatics, maybe you can take a look at Germany´s performance in that game, just to have a reference. |
Yes, ehrm, I recommend everone take a look at that thread and bask in my glory. Won't be much "German performance" in 1915. Sorry, but it's the first time I've had something to brag about here.
Au revoir!

A new emperor emerges in Austria Not much happend this turn. Abit of reorganizing of the frontiers.
For all nations. We wish to hold the balance of power and stability in Europe. All treaties and pacts made previously we still honour.
Good be with us
Long live Austria

Guys, before going on with this game, i´d like to propose a ban on engineers.
You see, i came from the pre-ww1 history in civfanatics (like Darius) and we faced the following situation:
The capacity of engineers to build railroads + the use of cavalry, artillery + the unlimited movement; lead us to outstanding advances. For example: In one turn Russia conquered 3/4 of Germany, and in the following turn, 4/5 of France
After a couple of turns, Italy (using the same tactics) captured Moscow
Obviously, this is unrealistic. The first blow of any nation will be decisive.
So, i propose to cancel, eliminate the railway ability of the engineers.
Otherwise, this game will follow the same path...

how about change the rules.
in the IMperialism 1970 the railroads only have a movement of 6 movements. This could fix this problem of the railroads. Limit their free range.
