The Bush line via Ari Fleischer has been there was no foreknowledge at all. It's in all of the papers and on the TV news. McKinney is still a little out there in left field with some of her claims, but she was right about one thing, the Bush administration had been warned about Osama Bin Laden and did nothing. It was well known at the time that he was a man who would murder people. Someone should have taken the threat more seriously. The Bush Administration is now saying that they didn't act on the threat, because it was only a traditional hijacking and no one thought the planes would be used as missles. This statement is weak. A planned hijacking by a known terrorist such as Bin Laden should have been taken very seriously.
There will now be the long overdue investigation into what led up to these attacks and hopefully we will find out who dropped the ball.
I find it interesting that everyone who was so quick to trash her and dismiss her accusations as a wacko's fantasy are very quiet now.

This is called a tempest in a teapot. Democrats are grasping at straws to try and deflect attention from their boy Clinton and the first trade center bombing and the Oaklahoma city bombing as well as a few others that happened on his watch. Neither Clinton nor Bush are responsible for these surprise attacks. No one can prevent terrorism as Israel is proving now. It is too bad that some seek to use these facts for political gain but that is not going to change.

What's so sad about this is the way the Vice President is acting. Don't make anything of this?!? I do believe it was the republicans who wasted several million investigating a blowjob. Now their retarded leader Bush screws up and we're not to look into it. Things sure are different now. Double standard or what??

I wonder why people are so quick to believe everything they read on the internet. I remember hearing on a spanish news program were they were trying to say that there was a ufo flying around the WTC when the planes crashed into it. Even on mainstream media you have to be carefull with the accuracy of what they report. It is good to relly on many sources of infomation, that way if one the source you use is wrong you will know form the other sources you use.

That was $73,000,000.00 The moldy trail started with a shady 1985 Arkansas land deal. The dogged investigators followed the clues all the way to a semen stain on a dress. That is an investigation worthy of the great Sherlock Holmes himself.
What was the name of that story again? Oh yeah, "A Taste of Power in the Oral Office," with a special guest star appearance by Ken Starr as the peeping tom.

I may not have hear about your or did hear and forgot all about it. Way back in the early 70s I was in a car going to lunch. The owner had some thing in the car that could have cause a lot of trouble for me just being in the car. So I told myself never again will I put myself in danger of being fired for anything or anyone. It was not drugs.

| Do you know how many time the Military received a threat. At Mare Island we received hundreds over the years. They did not tell us about evey one, but some we were told to be on the lookout for anyone we did not know asking about the Yard.

Lets put ourselves in the shoes of the President for a minute. You receive information that there appears to be a terrorist threat to hijack a plane. What do you do? You don't know any specifics only that they may hijack a plane. I would assume that you pass that information to the FBI or NTSB or the like. Do you really believe they should have made a public statement? They could not and did not know what was in store. If the government tells the people of all threats they receive, we would not be able to function.
I think this is more a breakdown of of numerous government agencies across all party lines. The inept INS letting folks inth the US who have no business being there, the student visas and so forth. The NTSB for allowing people to take flying lessons that do not involve take-off and landings, The CIA for not having people in place to learn and pass important info along. Some knucklehead from Marin California can join the Taliban but they can't get an agent or two in there? Then you have the pathetic airline security folks. Come on poorly trained and poorly paid workers not skilled to properly protect the public. Then there is the FBI. They had one of the hijackers in their possession for prior crimes, they had an eye witness James Woods who saw the hijackers during one of their "dry runs" and he reported what he saw to the FBI.
This is not about GWB, Bill Clinton, liberals or conservatives. Its about large, inept government bureaucracies that need to be fixed.

You are correct about GWB, I hate to say it Clinton and others. The two FBI memo never went to the President, NSA, or any other top division and never to the CIA. Part of the CIA problem goes back to the Carter admin. when he and Sen Frank Church did away with most of our field operators and then pass laws so the CIA could not hire undesirable (bad people) to work for us.
