What is the 24 hour rule?

I think I am out of my depth playing with you old war mongers!

About the rating - I'm not in the PBEM ratings and I've never actually completed an unmodded SP game of CTP so I would have a starting score of 0 (I guess, if you're still using the same system)... That could be fun...

In fact, now I come to think about it I've never actually completed a SP game of CTP at all - modded or otherwise. That's actually quite hard to believe... even for me...

What happens to your turn, your standing in the game and the game itself if for some reason you can not make a turn in 24 hours?

24 hours should not be a problem most of the time, but I do also live in the real world and at times work or family put demands on me that have to take fist use of my time regardless of how devoted and well meaning I am about playing this great game.

If advance warning is given you can elect someone to Play your turn, alternately I would play it - if no warning is given then the rules are that the moderator opens your turn and immediately presses end.

As far as the Land Ahoy aspect goes... is one of the goals to just colonize different islands in this one? Control the most islands possible?

And just so I'm not constatly posting I'm adding this in an edit:

Gav, I couldn't help but when I saw that you'd set me up as the English! Great twist for somebody who normally plays French or Native American...

colonising different island and exploration is VITAL - get to hullmaking ASAP!

You will need extra island to complete trade and to expand - aim to have AT LEAST 25 cities by turn 60!
