I am glad that your relations improved. I hope you will move on in this direction. On my Afro-Asia-Europe continent we could not find a peaceful solution for our problems, so we had a long and devastating war. As you know, peace is all that I ever wanted. So I hope we could develop our lands for the good of our people.

We are planning on setteling on your vast continent and hope you won't mind our little scout entering your territory.

It's just a wandering unit, looking for some life on this empty landmass. We always explore new lands so we know what to expect in the road ahead.

That's a lot of land for one civ, and it's hard to beleve you had to fight for all of it.
Fighting a long and hard battle for your own territory is one thing but claiming the larger part of the world for a battle fought on a smaller scale seems like grandure

And uhm I can remember words form the German leader that sounded like this:

I'm sorry my German friend, but the landmass africa-europe-asia is large enough for some extra inhabitants. We will not intrude on your empire, but when empty land is found ( with enough distance to the Germans) we'll use it for it would be wasted otherwise.

I do not understand why we should compensate you for land you do not own. Claiming land and owning land are two different things. Next you start claiming the worldseas and Antartica as well.

No, as we respect the empire, I think we can live side by side on the Af-Eu-As landmass. You've won your battle, gained land and cities as a result, now it's time to grow closer as neighbours and live of the land side by side.

The Americans have now completed a thorough search of Australia and have found no evidence of German settlement or civilization. I do respect the German empire as I would any empire, but we still don't understand the claim of the larger part of the world for yourself.

It would sadden us if our relations would turn for the worst over a stretch of land the Germans aren't using. If I were settling inside the German empire or if I were obstructing their expansion, I would understand a hostile position, but as this is not the case, I beleve the German should reconcider and welcome the Mayan and the American as their neighbours.

The Germans claim Australia but have no cities established there The Americans by contrast have 3 existing cities and 2 more to be settled next season Perhaps the Germans should pay the Americans compensation if they attempt settlement of Australia

The Germans also claim Asia. No evidence of settlement has been found there either. Our friends the Mayans report few or sparse settlements in Africa. Get real German Leader. Perhaps the remaining countries of the world can live in peace and settle unoccupied land

The Americans finally met the Germans in Asia Can they peacefully coexist or is war about to break-out The Americans are not expecting the Germans to live in Europe. Though that would be nice

As long as the Germans remain peaceful the Americans have no claim and will not settle in Europe and the Middle East. With 5 cities in Australia, the Americans are not sure if there is room for other parties.

German leader we Americans request permission to establish an embassy with your civ.

We're not conspiring with the Americans against the Germans. We are just informing eachother of our progress. If I had any hostile intentions towards the Germans, I'd act with or without the help of the Americans.

I'm not intruding on your empire, I'm just colonising Unused African land. I've seen that the Germans have occupied the northern part of Africa, and I plan on settling on the southern part of Africa.

The Germans own conciderably more land than the Mayans, so I don't understand the fuss about us settling in land you do not use

I'm not interrested in attacking the Germans and would like to pave the way for smoother diplomatic relations by exchanging embassies. If you are interrested I can give you the exact location of the closest Mayan city.

We just want to expand our empire to unsettled land and live in peace with our neighbours. It would sadden us if our world would get trapped in a violent, downwards spiral. So I ask the Germans to try to understand our point of view.


I has been a busy week, so I haven't been able to reply to this thread. Last turn was delayed, by me. I tried to keep the turnspeed going, but was to drunk last night to play the turn.
