BTW I have to say that I find the notion of a "direct - without the middleman- connection to God" that the protestants have most intriguing.

i hate the TV evangelists and the fundies

but a lot of the principles of protestantism appeal to me (sorry patriarch)

Try Anglicanism / Episcopalianism. It's like everything the Catholic church would be if it stopped resisting the inevitable.

I get the impression you are trapped in some alien dimension. cut off from all humanity (and all alcohol) and have only Poly as a life-line.

I find that boring. Where is the fun in confession if the priest isnt yelling at you?

btw., I havent confessed in quite a while. And I have slight disagreements with the church what is considered sin

It sounded very good, but the next day he repeated the same old line that non-Catholics were to be concidered as being fundamentally "in error" for rejecting the Roman Catholic Church. I'm sorry that it's that way, but there is nothing I can do about it.

Dr. Strangelove, Well, we really need a lot more humility in the Roman Catholic Church, don't we? The attitude that we're right and everyone else is wrong is a complete a non starter for concilliation.

Suffering from ads?

Serbians and most Russians I know still haven't forgiven the Catholic church for its lack of action/condemnation of the Fascists. Croatians are generally Catholic and the Serbs still haven't forgiven the Croats for what the Usteche did during the Nazi occupation.

Tired of ads?

Sava, That is the first I have ever heard this. I know the West thought the Pope could have done more to protect the Jews and other minorities in WWII. Is this the why Serbia and Russia thought the Pope ought to speak out?

If it is not, please explain, if you could what the Pope should have condemned.

So, fooker,

did you get in trouble with "her" for posting here? Maybe you should be a little bit more attentive to "her" sexual needs instead of posting here.

(I've gotten in trouble for this before...back in the old days...when I had sex...with a woman.)

no i got into trouble for being honest (told her I spend a night sleeping over to my best friend (who is female) and she did not like it.

too bad, if she wasn't such a stuck up i wouldn't need to have slept over (which is all i did, nothing more).

honesty = bad thing
