Yeah I know!
Totti is great as midfield-forward, but I think that Doni can easily take his spot!

I would like to see Italy play like this:

Vieri, Del Piero (Inzaghi)

I think that would be great... maybe a little bit unbalanced in attacking, but... I like it like this (It's only Di Biagio and Tommasi that are He should have called Perrotta and Ambrosini )

Tacchinardi is even worse (trust me, i could berely support him in Juventus, i wouldn't stand to support him in the national team)

They didn't play very good to say the truth:
Totti played maybe 70-80% of his possibilities and Trapattoni decided to go with a 4-3-1-2 with Panucci( ) rather than the usual 3-4-1-2, I guess is trying to find a way to use as few midfileder as possible!

Oh.. BTW it was 2-1 for us, Inzaghi (injured) and Vieri scored.

how about Croatia?
I personally don't think you'll be as strong as in France '98, Boban is missing, You didn't selected Tudor, and Boksic is not the same of 4 years ago!

italy has a terribly good defense but so is croatian (only 3 goals in quali I think)

it will be a boring trench warfare game with lots of interruptions (I hope no penals) and lots of chaos in the middle field where croatia is weak, so if totti is back its going to play in our half mostly

but in the end, we will win

On the Italy debate, Nesta and Cannavaro are world class and a front three of Totti, Vieri, Del Piero/Inzaghi will score for fun their midfield is adequate, the lack of a real playmaker and a tough ballwinner (Tommasi and Di Bagio are not top ballwinners IMHO) could scupper them. But look at the draw and you'll see they have a ridiculously easy route to the final (Argentina, France, Brazil and England are in the other half of the draw), only a possible semi with Portugal or Spain could casue problems, but they could comfortably beat them.
