	Gay Pride Is Coming!! Support Apolyton, buy Civilization: The Boardgame

Ok, in the United States, this is now the season when Gay Pride will be coming around the corner in different cities, at different dates this summer.

But for this Memorial Weekend already, the Quad Cities of Iowa and Illinois had a local, community event called We Care Weekend.
This community event is about fund-raising for AIDS/HIV research, as well as to remind ourselves about the prevelance of this deadly disease.


I'm sure in European countries, Great Britain, Canada, Australia, and other countries, there are Gay Pride events.
No matter what country in whch Gay Pride occurs, it is great to have lesbians, gays, bisexuals, and heterosexual allies to get together to affirm the legitimacy of all sexual orientations.



So, Asher, Red_Jon, Starchild, Boris, and any other Apolytoners -- no matter what your sexual orientation is -- have you gone to past Gay Pride events, and what was your experience -- the good and/or the bad.

I have been to Gay Pride two years in a row, in Chicago and enjoyed both times there.

Lesbians, gays, bisexuals, and heterosexuals of the world, unite in the spirit of equality!!

The nearby city of Brighton is a gay capital with a 25% gay popualtion. I hjave been there just before a gay pride event, was a wonderful spirit, rainbow flags everywhere, hanging out of windows, above shops, flagpoles, etc.

Never actually been to one though. I would go with my friend but my mum gets suspicious as to my whereabout on gay pride days and in her nazi-esque opinion they are wrong.

Ya ive been to brighton UK, its pretty gay. So is Edinborough and Glasgow! Edinborough has like a 15-20% homosexual population. Its a fairly large city.

Birmingham to get a joint degree in English and History if I can get in, but I need an 'a' in English and my BASTARD TEACHER just gave me a 'c' in my coursework. So I now need an 'a' in at least one of the next two exams.

If I can't get into Birmingham my insurance choice is Swansea just to take History. Need 'b's for that.

Was gonna choose Abersytwyth where a coupla my friends are going. But then I found out Infat goes there...

I heard Swansea has a good nightlife. Plus the unis right next to the beach so has beach parties. Seems nice enough.
