When we established a city there we were not aware that it was "your land"... in fact, we were not aware of your existence at that point. When our first city there was founded, we should have then been contacted of our err and asked to fix it rather than allowing us to leave it there for so long... thus, we founded a second city.
We have simply, peacefully asked for our cities borders to be respected, as you have as well... and when you openly rejected the idea of respecting our cities, why should we, in turn, not parade near yours, especially since map trading was also refused so we wouldn't parade too close to your cities.
Then is the fact that when we did agree to your no tresspassing you continue to prepare yourself to harass my cities with no regards to my requests that you leave the suroundings. Had my ministers not been forced to take over during my illness I would have happily signed the peace treaty you offered before, but my ministers were unable to ask if such a course is what I wanted.

A peaceful day would be much appreciated... and we will likewise defend our borders, and ask that you leave ours as we will yours.
